2015 Seneca Fall Poker Classic Kicks Off This Weekend and Runs Through Nov. 23 0001

On Friday, November 13, the 2015 Seneca Fall Poker Classic, a six-event series, kicks off at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel. What's more, the PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be on hand to provide live coverage from three of the six.

The three events to be covered by PokerNews are Event 1: $200 No-Limit Hold'em from Nov. 13-15, Event 3: $100 No-Limit Hold'em from Nov. 16-19, and Event 6: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event from Nov. 20-23. The first two events that PokerNews will cover each boast a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool and multiple starting flights. The Main Event comes with a juicy $200,000 guaranteed prize pool and will also have multiple starting flights.

Of course PokerNews' presence means that players will have the opportunity to use the MyStack app to update their hands and chip counts straight into the live blog.

To download the MyStack app absolutely free on either Apple or Android, click here.

Players in the $200,000 guaranteed Main Event will begin with 30,000 in starting chips and play 40-minute levels on Day 1. Day 2 will play 50-minute levels, and Day 3 will play 60-minute levels. There are two starting days and competitors can play in more than one Day 1. Any player that advances through both Day 1s will only be entitled to take the largest chip stack forward. Day 1 will end at the end of Level 15 or when 12 percent of the field remains, whichever comes first.

For the Main Event, the venue's hotel balcony will be open to accommodate players 18 years old and above.

Last year, Rick Block topped a field of 263 entrants to win the Main Event for $40,050, which came after striking a three-way deal with Veerab Zakarian (2nd - $40,000) and Dave Grana (3rd - $39,445). Amazingly, back in July, Block won the first event of the 2015 Seneca Niagara Summer Slam for $15,000. Clearly he has some home field advantage.

Satellites to the $1,000 Main Event have been running since Sept. 25, and they will continue to do so through the morning of Saturday, Nov. 21. That includes several $145 qualifiers will be held Nov. 13-14, Nov. 19, Nov. 20, and the aforementioned final one on Nov. 21.
