Gregoire Denis Leads Biggest Day of All in partypoker.net WPT Montreal Main Event
The final entry day of the 2015 partypoker.net World Poker Tour Montreal Main Event has come to an end with another 153 players headed to Monday's Day 2. There were a total of 335 entries at Playground Poker Club on Sunday, proving to be the largest starting flight of the three that took place.
After 10 one-hour levels, Gregoire Denis held the most chips with 204,500, but he was the smallest chip leader to advance from the three starting days. Right on his tale was local Marc-Etienne McLaughlin with 198,000 inchips.

Combined with the other two starting days, this event received a total of 697 entries. That's down a small amount from last year's 732, but there's still CAD $2,366,315 in the prize pool and a hefty CAD $433,410 first-place prize. There will be a total of 294players returning with chips for Day 2 on Monday.
Some of the other notable players to survive the day included Cate Hall, Lu Zhang, Jason Mann, Will Molson, Darryll Fish, Jonathan Roy, Igor Kurganov, Liv Boeree, David Quang, Andy Frankenberger, and Laurence Grondin.
Among those to buy in for a last chance at the event but fail to survive the 10 levels included Matt Affleck, Paul Sokoloff, Eric Afriat, and Aaron Mermelstein, to name a few.
Things will start to get interesting now with all three fields meeting on Monday to play another nine levels. Play will resume at 12 noon, and PokerNews will, of course, be back on the tournament floor to bring you all of the action.
