12 Rings in 12 Days: WSOP Circuit Returns to Palm Beach Kennel Club Feb. 4-15, 2016 0001

The World Series of Poker Circuit will be returning to Palm Beach Kennel Club (PBKC) for the sixth consecutive year, taking place in sunny West Palm Beach, Florida, from Feb. 4-15, 2016. This will mark the second WSOP Circuit stop to take place at PBKC during the 2015-2016 season, and once again it comes with a schedule that features "12 rings in 12 days."

"We are thrilled to bring the excitement of the World Series of Poker Circuit to PBKC and to West Palm Beach, Florida," said PBKC Vice President Joe Rooney. "The tournaments have brought people to us from all over the country that hadn't experienced this facility before, and many were first-time visitors to beautiful Palm Beach County."

The festivities will kick off with the opening event of the series, the $365 No-Limit Hold'em Monster Stack tournament. At the earlier PBKC stop this season, which took place Sept. 17-28, 2015, the familiar face of WSOP Main Event runner-up Josh Beckley planted himself in the winner's circle of the opening event when he topped a field of 317 entries to win $22,349. Beckley joined a long list of poker pros that have played circuit events at PBKC, including Jerry Yang, Greg Raymer, Lee Childs, Harrison Gimbel, and more.

The highlight of the series will be the $1,675 Main Event, taking place Feb. 12-15. If the last WSOP Circuit PBKC Main Event is any indication as to what to expect this time around, plenty of money will be up for grabs, including a first prize estimated to hit six figures. At the September stop, the $1,675 Main Event drew 393 entries, generated a prize pool of $589,500, and saw the top 46 finishes walk away with at least $1,777. The winning share of $129,685 went to Peter Vitantonio of Wickliffe, Ohio.

The winner of the $1,675 Main Event will also receive an automatic bid into the WSOP Circuit Global Casino Championship, as will the stop's "Casino Champion" an award that goes to the player at each stop who accumulates the most points throughout the 12-event gold ring schedule.

Other events that stand out on the schedule are the $580 No-Limit Hold'em Reentry tournament taking place Feb. 5-7 and the $1,125 No-Limit Hold'em event taking place Feb. 11-12.
