There is a new top-dog in the PocketFives Worldwide Rankings, which ranks the best online poker tournament players. Russia's Artem "veeea" Vezhenkov finally pulled ahead of Sweden's Christian "eisenhower1" Jeppsson to become the number one ranked player in the world.

Jeppsson, who also won the 2015 Yearly PocketFives Leaderboard, was in the top spot before being unseeded to move to second place by Vezhenkov on Jan. 20. Jeppsson currently resides in fourth place in the latest ranking released on Feb. 3.

Vezhenkov's biggest online tournament cash came on Nov. 15, 2015 with an outright win for $183,675 in the Sunday Million on PokerStars. That helped propel him into the number one spot into the rankings.

Vezhenkov, who is closing in on $5 million in online poker tournament cashes as tracked by PocketFives, now has an impressive three-week streak as the number one ranked player going for him. However, this might come to an end soon as he only has a slim lead of just 13 PLB points against the current number two player, Sweden's "C Darwin2".

Once again, Swedish players are dominating the rankings claiming four of the top five spots and five of the ten top. In addition to Jeppsson and "CDarwin2", the three other Swedes that are currently in the top ten spots in the rankings include Emil "Smeckten" Olsson (third place), "lena900" (fifth place), and "Ariados" (ninth place).

Joining the top ten in the rankings for the first time in 2016 is the United Kingdom's Oscar "MendaLerenda" Serradell. The tenth-place ranked player, who has over $3.7 million in online cashes as tracked by PocketFives, is no stranger to the top spots in the ranking having peaked last year in sixth place.

The biggest jump in the top 100 belongs to American poker refugee Grayson "gray31" Ramage, who jumped from 90th place to 14th. His big jump was propelled by a huge win in the PokerStars TCOOP-47: $2,100 NL Hold'em [Turbo, High-Roller], $1M GTD for $291,400 on Jan. 31.
