The countdown is on for the exciting inaugural World Series of Poker International Circuit event in Georgia, taking place March 3-9 at the Tbilisi Sports Palace, the country's largest indoor sports arena.

The organizers at Adjarabet.com are pulling out all the stops and are pleased to announce that recent European Poker Tour Dublin Main Event winner Dzmitry Urbanovich and current Global Poker Index No. 1 Steve O'Dwyer are amongst those making the trip.

They will be joined by others such as Daniel "Jungleman" Cates, Marcin Wydrowski, Mateusz Dziewoski, Piotr Franczak, and Dominik Panka.

"We are pleased that so much foreign talent is coming to the historic WSOP event in Tbilisi in March," said Lasha Machavariani, Chief Marketing Officer of Adjarabet. "The Georgian general public is fascinated by poker which is growing fast in the market. To have a group of the hottest players in the world at the current time coming to our country is great news for the event. We look forward to giving them a very special welcome and hope others will follow their example.

"The live cash games in Tbilisi are untapped by international players and we expect them to hit new high levels during our first WSOP event. The reaction in the local and international market to our online qualifiers for the event have also been great and we expect to have awarded over 100 entries to the Main Event and over 100 entries to the Adjarabet.com Championship event by the time we halt them at the end of this week."

Back in January, Adjarabet.com held a big regional press conference to launch the series out into the mainstream in the region with some very special guests. Speaking to regional media, including Georgian national television, were ESPN WSOP anchor Kara Scott, WSOP Tournament Director Jack Effel, and 2010 WSOP Main Event champion Jonathan Duhamel. All three appeared for 15 minutes on main daytime television to discuss the event.

The focal point of the event-packed schedule for WSOP Circuit Georgia is a $300,000 guaranteed $1,000 Main Event running conveniently for the seasonal bank holidays from March 6-9, with two starting days. In total, there will be seven prestigious WSOP International Circuit gold rings up for grabs in just seven days and a regional record of $700,000 guaranteed.

Further highlights of March's live WSOP International Circuit schedule include a $300 buy-in $100,000 guaranteed Adjarabet Championship event from March 4-6, while the very first event on the schedule on March 3 is a special $100 buy-in $30,000 guaranteed WSOP Warm-Up event.

Other attractive tournaments we advise you to keep your eyes on include a two-day $15,000 guaranteed $200 Pot-Limit Omaha event on March 5, and two $50,000 guaranteed events on Tuesday, March 8, in the form of a $100 rebuy and add-on WSOP Blowout and $2,000 High Roller.

The winners of the $300,000 guaranteed Main Event and overall player of the series will both win entries into the 2016 WSOP Circuit $1,000,000 Global Casino Championship.

ESPN will televise this grand finale in the United States and worldwide as part of their annual coverage of the World Series of Poker.

Tbilisi Sports Palace, where the event is held, is the biggest indoor sports arena in the country, and hosted the European Youth Olympic Festival in 2015. It is the home of the Georgian national basketball team and also to all major national and international sports events.
