Since the stateside return of PokerStars with PokerStars New Jersey (PSNJ), many have wondered how the world's largest online poker provider would take advantage of its partnership with land-based Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City.

A new collaboration between PokerStars and Resorts has been announced. While it certainly isn't as grandiose as live events run by PokerStars elsewhere in the world such European Poker Tour festivals, Run It Up Resorts Rumble (RIURR) could be the first step towards reaching such lofty heights down the road.

RIURR, PokerStars announced in a press release, will be an "onlive" event that marries in-person social aspects of poker with a couple of online events on PSNJ. The event, which takes place May 14, will open with a breakfast and meet-and-greet with PokerStars Team Pros Chris Moneymaker, Barry Greenstein, Vanessa Selbst, Liv Boeree, Jen Shahade, and Run It Up founder Jason Somerville, whose popular Twitch streams changed the face of poker media.

Then, there will be a $30 no-limit hold'em tournament on PSNJ accessible only to those attending RIURR in person, as well as a $10 tournament open to players statewide.

Finally, there will be a VIP Club Live party with food, drinks, and entertainment.

"I'm incredibly excited to host our first one-day Run it Up festival on the East Coast with two great partners in PokerStars and Resorts," Somerville said in the release. "It's been so much fun playing and streaming on PokerStars New Jersey this month and I can't wait to hang out with all of our awesome Run it Up fans in person. It'll totally be worth putting on pants."

Tickets to the event can be purchased for $10, with proceeds going to Autism Speaks.

Players can also win entry, including a select group of 10 VIP packages, through PSNJ. Click here for more information on how to do so.
