Two weeks ago, we reported that Sweden's Simon "C Darwin2" Mattsson became the top ranked online poker tournament player in the world for the second time this year, according to the PocketFives Worldwide Online Poker Rankings.

Recently, Mattsson was relegated to the fifth spot in the rankings when four players catapulted ahead of him, including Brazil's Joao "joaosimaobh" Simao who for the first time in his poker career the No. 1 ranked player.

Mattsson didn't have to wait long to reclaim the top spot for a third time this year. Thanks to a win in one of the three Spring Championship of Online Poker opening events on PokerStars, the

, for $226,106, he is now the top dog in the rankings once again.

Simao didn't drop too far in the rankings, holding steady in second place in no small part to two strong performances on partypoker last week including finishing on top of the 3,271 player field in Online Grand Prix for $42,643 and a second place finish in the Super High Roller: $100,000 Gtd for $43,475.

Sweden's "Ariados", who has $5.7 million in online tournament cashes tracked by PocketFives, resides in third place in the rankings. His biggest haul came last week on PokerStars where he plays under the "Sasuke234" screenname when he won $30,240 with a second-place finish the $1,050 Sunday Grand PLO [6-Max], $75K Gtd.

Sweden's Niklas "lena900" ?stedt who was the top ranked player a few weeks ago and Russia's Artem "veeea" Vezhenkov who was also the top ranked player earlier in the year round out the top five spots in the rankings.

Chris Moorman Cracks the Top 10

Many big names are also in the bottom half of the top 10 spots in the rankings including American living in Costa Rica and former No. 1 ranked player in 2015 Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen (6th), American living in Canada Joel "jbrown8777" Brown (7th), Russia's "hellohellohello" (8th), and United Kingdom's Conor "1_conor_b_1" Beresford (10th).

However, the biggest of them all cracked the top 10 for the first time this year with United Kingdom's Chris "moorman1" Moorman. Moorman likely needs no introduction as he is online poker's most successful tournament player with a record breaking $13.3 million in career cashes tracked by PocketFives.

While Moorman didn't have any monumental cashes in the past week, he was helped with consistent play throughout the year along with a win in the PokerStars Big $162, $15K Gtd for $4,833. He is already on track this week to improve his PLB score which determines his rankings with a win on May 12 in the PokerStars Bounty Builder $33, $50K Gtd for $5,281.
