2016 WSOP Day 5: Mizrachi Leads Final Six in $10K Stud, Colossus Down to 78, and More
The 2016 World Series of Poker continued on Sunday in Las Vegas with the busiest day yet as four events were running inside the walls of the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino. Event #2: $565 Colossus II played down to under 100 players, two final tables were reached, and Event #5: $1,500 Six-Handed Dealer's Choice kicked off.

A Colossal Field Now Just 78
Ben Lindemulder from Mount Pleasant, Mich., began Day 2 of Colossus II with 362,000 in chips, or good for 12th overall of the remaining 846 players. When the day was all said and done, Lindemulder laid claim to a stack of 5.325 million and topped the advancing 78 players.
All 78 remaining were guaranteed at least $10,289, and the final table of nine will receive at least $92,291.

Lindemulder was a big one, finishing almost 2 million clear of Richard Carr's second-place stack of 3.55 million. Vincent Moscati rounded out the top three with a stack of 3.3 million.
Plenty of big names busted out on the day, including Michael Mizrachi (234th - $5,122), Scott Clements (351st - $4,375), and Maria Ho (641st - $2,837). PokerNews Podcast producer Rich Ryan also went bust deep into the money, hitting the rail for a payday of just over $6,000 when his AxJx couldn't come from behind against Marco Johnson's AxKx.
Jeff Gross, a new 888poker-sponsored player for the 2016 WSOP, finished in 281st place for $5,122, and Sofia Lovgren, an 888poker ambassador, busted in 534th place for $3,256.
Notables to bag up for Day 3 included Amir Lehavot (1.545 million), David "ODB" Baker (890,000), Ylon Schwartz (860,000), and the aforementioned Johnson (815,000).

Mizrachi Leads Final Six in $10,000 Stud
Robert Mizrachi may not have as many World Poker Tour titles or career live tournament earnings as his brother Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, but Robert could move ahead in gold bracelets if he's able to ride his lead in Event #3: $10,000 Seven-Card Stud Championship to a fourth piece of jewelry.
Robert will enter the third and final day of this event with 1.371 million in chips, sitting atop the final six players with over 200,000 more than Matt Grapenthien in second place.

This event drew 87 entries and generated a prize pool of $817,800, with $242,662 for first place. The top 14 spots were set to get paid, and it was Joel Tushnet falling short on the bubble in 15th place. He was busted by Adam Friedman, who went on to finish in 10th for $19,727.
Stephen Chidwick (11th - $16,638), Adam Owen (12th - $16,638), Jeff Lisandro (13th - $14,500), and Felipe Ramos (14th - $14,500) were the players to bust out before Friedman.
With nine players left, the field was combined to one table. That's when Rod Pardey busted in a three-way pot with Calvin Anderson and George Danzer. Anderson followed him out the door in eighth before Danzer squeaked into Day 3 after the bust out of Bill Chen in seventh.
Mizrachi and Grapenthien will be joined by Steve Weiss, Ted Forrest, David Benyamine, and Danzer on Day 3, which will begin at 12 p.m. local time on Monday. The six remaining players are guaranteed $39,611.
Turbo Event Flies To Final Table
Ben Yu, Kyle Julius, and Vinny Pahuja are the big names highlighting the final table of Event #4: $1,000 Top-Up Turbo No-Limit Hold'em, but it's Karl Held with the chip lead heading into Monday.

A field of 667 entries generated a prize pool of $681,300 in this event, with the top 101 spots reaching the money and $142,972 to first place. Those finishing in the money included Jonathan Tamayo (100th - $1,694), Jessica Dawley (92nd - $1,694), Chino Rheem (67th - $1,982), Ronnie Bardah (58th - $2,179), David Williams (43rd - $2,804), Steven van Zadelhoff (12th - $7,404), and Mohsin Charania (10th - $7,404).
Dawley busted in a four-way all-in clash that you rarely see. In the money of the event, Dawley was all in with AxQx. Her three opponents were Yu with KxKx, Matt Matros with AxKx, and Ian O'Hara with AxKx. With three aces dead, Yu held on to win the pot and score the triple knockout.
Charania was the last to go before the end of the day, falling at the hands of Bart Lybaert when his Ax7x couldn't come from hind against Lybaert's AxKx.
Yu will be looking for his second gold bracelet following his golden win from 2015. Julius and Pahuja will each be looking for their first piece of WSOP hardware, and the leader, Held, will be looking to score the first live tournament win of his career.
Final-table play will kick off at 12 p.m. on Monday, with each player left getting no less than $9,506.
Gromenkova Leads Dealer's Choice Event
After Day 1 in Event #5: $1,500 Six-Handed Dealer's Choice, Svetlana Gromenkova led the way with 99,600 in chips. You may remember Gromenkova's name from 2008 when she won the $1,000 Ladies' World Championship Event for $224,702, and now she's back in front seeking her second career gold bracelet.
The event attracted 389 entries, created a prize pool of $525,150 that will be distributed to the top 59 spots, and the winner will get the gold bracelet plus $125,466.

Other notables that remained at the end of Day 1 included Richard Ashby (82,300), Sorel Mizzi (50,000), Eli Elezra (44,400), Paul Volpe (41,500), Mike Matusow (21,700), and Andrey Zaichenko (15,800).
Day 2 will take place starting at 2 p.m. local time on Monday with the plan to play down to the final table.
What's On Tap for Tomorrow?
Monday will be a big day at the 2016 WSOP, with all four of the events mentioned above continuing on. Two will play to a winner and two will play to a final table, plus there are two more events on the schedule to kick off.
First is Event #6: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em, the first $1,500 no-limit hold'em event of the summer that is always a big, bursting affair. That one will start at 11 a.m. local time.
Then at 3 p.m. local time, it will be the start of Event #7: $1,500 No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw.
