It was a huge Day 1 at the EPT 13 Barcelona 10,300 High Roller, as the record for biggest EPT High Roller was not just broken, it was smashed! Last year's Barcelona 10,300 High Roller held the record for entrants which stood at 479, but with late registration open until the start of Day 2, the record has been obliterated as the number of entrants was up to 565 by the end of the day. When this record-breaking day was finally complete it was none other than Marc-Olivier Perrault leading the way.

With such a huge field, you were hard-pressed to find a table without a minimum of two big names. Former High Roller champions such as Charlie Carrel, Fedor Holz, Martin Finger, Philipp Gruissem, and Pratyush Buddiga all made their way to the felt for this event.

Other big names who jumped in the biggest ever EPT High Roller included Team PokerStars Pros Daniel Negreanu, Jason Mercier, Andre Akkari, Felipe Ramos, Luca Pagano and George Danzer, former November Niner Antoine Saout, Cate Hall, as well as Robin Ylitalo, Vitaly Lunkin, Mohsin Charania, Kent Lundmark, Iliodoros Kamatakis, Faraz Jaka and Dominik Nitsche.

For some, it simply wasn't meant to be as these pros who fired two bullets in the event, will not be winning this particular EPT High Roller. Dietrich Fast and Akin Tuna were eliminated early on, and they were joined by [Removed:17], 2015 November Niner Pierre Neuville and defending EPT Barcelona 10,000 High Roller Champion Mustapha Kanit.

After ten 60-minute levels today, there are 291 players left. The current chip leader, Perrault took the lead after Georgios Zisimopoulous five-bet jammed 150,000 with ace-king into the pocket kings of Perrault during one the last few hands of the night. That particular hand sky-rocketed the Canadian to the chip lead, where he sits with 404,000 in chips to start Day 2.

Other soaring chip stacks in the room include Felipe Ramos (284,500), Pasquale Grimaldi (280,100), Dorian Rios Pavon (247,000)

Some other notable players heading into the second day of play include Rocco Palumbo (189,900), Steven van Zadelhoff (150,000), Davidi Kitai (144,300), Dario Sammartino (113,300), Luca Pagano (108,300), Fedor Holz (107,900), Charlie Carrel (92,500), Anthony Zinno (90,500), Pratyush Buddiga (87,400), Chris Moorman (86,100), Daniel Negreanu (61,700), Sam Chartier (56,200), Jason Mercier (47,100) and George Danzer (19,900).
