The World Series of Poker has shown plenty of love to its stop at Harrah's Cherokee in North Carolina by giving it three events on the 2016-17 World Series of Poker Circuit schedule, and the turnout for the first reentry event of the new season showed why.

A total of 2,447 entries were logged for Event #3: $365 Reentry, which had four starting days and carried a $500,000 guarantee. That number was easily surpassed with a prize pool of $734,100, and the lion's share of that, $108,270, went to Alabama's Austin Reilly. It was not only the first WSOPC ring, but the first tournament cash overall for Reilly, who told WSOP staff after his win that he recently quit a job at a car dealership to play cash games for a living.
