Jeffrey "bortzork" Miller scored the biggest single win on New Jersey regulated online poker rooms when he finished on top of the 176-player field, WSOP.com NJ/888poker NJ $50,000 Ultimate Warrior for $13,500.
Other notable players to score big on the final table in this tournament included Jonathan "jetsfan14" Borenstein (3rd - $4,500), Conor "NYR9414" Berkowitz (8th - $1,200) and Jeremy "Jermz" Danger (9th - $900). Danger had a much bigger cash earlier in the day when he claimed victory in the PokerStars NJ Sunday Warm-Up $10,000 Gtd for $2,252 under the screen name "FunkyJesus."
As it was the last Sunday of the month, the monthly $30,000 The BIG Deal took place on WSOP NJ/888poker NJ. New Jersey's "COLDWARKID" was crowned the winner to bank $9,947 in this tournament. Finishing just behind him was Brian "pure__reason" Wood (2nd - $5,802), Yong "LuckySpewy1" Kwon (3rd - $4,045), Jason "LuckDuck" Lawhun (4th - $3,382), Joseph "megolaman1ac" Liberta (5th - $2,686), Keith "T1mB3y_B33F" Donovan (6th - $2,354) and Ted "olmuggins" Ely (8th - $1,691).
Donovan and Kwon both went on to secure other final table finishes on Sunday. Donovan finished in first place as part of a heads-up deal in the partypoker NJ/BorgataPoker.com Sunday Seconds $10K Gtd for $3,141, while Kwon took eighth place in the partypoker NJ/BorgataPoker.com Sunday $50k for $2,050.
While Kwon was able to nail down a cash finishing in the bottom part of the final table in the Sunday $50k, Craig "craigruby" Rubinstein was able to do much better by winning the tournament for a cool $10,000. To add to Rubinstein's Sunday haul, he also took fourth place in the Sunday Seconds for $1,183.
Meanwhile, New Jersey's "GivnUstrokes" was the big winner on PokerStars NJ by shipping the Sunday Special $50,000 Gtd for $10,225. Also on the final table were Jamie "moosedeer17" Reyes (2nd - $7,500), Alex "Ajax624" Jim (4th - $4,250), Bob "s.l. halper" Taylor (5th - $2,900), Edwin "GiantGeniu$" Roman (7th - $1,750), Daniel "AvaGray" Lupo (8th - $1,250) and David "coles93" Coleman (9th - $950).
Taylor added to his big day by winning the PokerStars NJ Nightly Stars $12,000 Gtd to bank $3,395.
Also winning big on PokerStars NJ was "Le Poisson13", who took advantage of PokerStars NJ increasing the guarantee of the Sunday High Roller from $15,000 to $20,000 by winning this tournament for $9,000. Also on the podium in this tournament were Anthony "FlawlessBINK" Maio taking second place for $6,000 and Steven "FadeOrHoldz" Madara grabbing third place for $3,000.
