2017 Turbo Championship of Online Poker

The eyes of the poker community may be fixated on the action at the PokerStars Championship in the Bahamas right now, but Jan. 18 all eyes will be on PokerStars virtual felt because the 2017 Turbo Championship Of Online Poker (TCOOP) gets underway with the first five of 65 fast-paced tournaments.

TCOOP burst onto the scene in 2012, attracting thousands of tournament players. Fifty TCOOP events took place and awarded more than $19 million in prize money, with the largest prize weighing in at $382,855.67, David betudontbet Emmons reward for winning the $700 Main Event.

The TCOOP returned in 2013 with another 50 events, including the $700 Main Event which attracted 5,060 players. Swedens frma1103 became the 2013 TCOOP Main Event champion, walking away with $326,880. More than $24 million was paid out during the festival.

In 2014, another $23 million was won by PokerStars turbo-loving players. Another Swedish grinder claimed the Main Event title. Riverlan_88 came out on top of a 4,600-strong field to turn $700 into an impressive $277,526, a sum lessened by a six-way deal struck at the final table, resulting in four other players scooping more than $200,000 each.

Russias Nikki_Hefner had the largest TCOOP score in the festivals history of $396,516 for triumphing over 4,169 players in the Main Event, but that record only lasted 12-months because Dinesh NastyMinder Alt saw off 4,076 opponents in the 2016 TCOOP Main Event and had $396,691 added to his PokerStars account.

The 2017 TCOOP runs from Jan. 18-29 and features 65 tournaments, each with turbo blind structures. Holdem, Omaha, Stud, Progressive Knockouts, Bubble Rush, Win the Button, Zoom and more formats are among the 65 events, which have combined guaranteed prize pools of $15 million.
