Sunday Briefing: Oliver Weis Excels at partypoker
Germany's Oliver "sk2ll_m0dR" Weis enjoyed a profitable Sunday courtesy of some impressive scores in partypoker's biggest weekly tournaments.
Wies, who finished second in a $2,100 SCOOP event at PokerStars earlier this year, won the $75,000 guaranteed Super High Roller for a $32,632 score before going on to finish fourth in the $200,000 guaranteed Title Fight for an additional $11,455. The Title Fight was eventually won by "Drl85.." who banked $36,085.
In the $150,000 guaranteed Main Event, "any2_" and the UK's Jonathan "jgjg3000" Gill chopped the remaining prize pool when heads-up to secure payouts of $21,814 and $21,790, while "HopHobson" took down the $125,000 guaranteed High Roller to turn $530 into $24,545.
Also at partypoker, Jerry "frokennatur" Odeen walked away with $16,383 after a heads-up chop with "D0nKanaille_" in the $100,000 guaranteed Title Fight Warm Up; the latter collected $15,886 for their runner-up finish.
Across to PokerStars now where there were some massive scores. The largest of these scores came in the $215 Sunday Million, which ended in a three-way chop. Canada's "toddxxx" won the tournament and banked $161,777, Germany's "stormi22" was the runner-up and collected $98,481, with Finland's "Sanjay_45" finishing in third-place for $103,948.

Over at 888poker, the British players known as "FatStacksY0" added $17,802 to their bankroll by coming out on top of a 189-strong field in the $80,000 guaranteed Baby Whale. "Jupp_shippts" and "mil3n4o0" chopped the $80,000 guaranteed Mega Deep for $13,357 and $13,394, while "LaFripouli" and "ego_death" chopped the $50,000 guaranteed Sunday Challenge for $8,105 and $8,614.
