Yiannis Liperis Leads MPNPT Manchester Final Table
Day 2 of the 550 MPNPT Manchester Main Event saw 60 Day 1 survivors (from a total of 288 entries) and three intrepid last-minute registrants sit down to play to the final table. The 150,000 prize pool began to be awarded following the exit of bubble boy Jorge Sevillano Rosa in 37th place, and over the course of ten levels the amounts awarded rose from 1,100 to the 2,800 that awaits the ninth-place finisher. The eventual winner will take home the trophy and 29,900.
Retaining his start-of-day chip lead is Yiannis Liperis, who, once he hit the million-chip mark, never looked back. Sebastian Gruszczynski, who reached the final table second in chips, was also crowned the Last Longer King, picking up an MPNPT Tallinn package for outlasting all other Betsson Group players.
Home games must be tough in the Tighe family: brothers Daniel and Cieran both made the final 10 in the Main Event. The former is already an MPNPT champion, having won MPNPT Dublin for 53,845 in 2015 while the latter now has a chance to play for a title of his own.
