Cash Game Festival Caps Off Season in Tallinn Nov. 15-19
The Cash Game Festival will make its triumphant return to where the festival all began in Tallinn, Estonia on Nov. 15-19 to cap off its nine-event 2017 season at Olympic Park Casino.
The first three stops in the festival's history took place in the Estonian capital in 2014 and 2015 before it embarked on an international tour of six successful stops in 2016.
The festival expanded to nine stops including Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City in London in February and September, Perla Casino in Slovenia in March, Olympic Park Casino in April, Sunborn Casino in Gibraltar in May, Casino Malta by Olympic Casino in June, Platinum Casino in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria in August and the Village Green Card Club in Dublin in October.
Next year the festival will expand even further with at least a dozen stops planned.
What to Expect?
As is the case at all Cash Game Festivals, players should expect more than 120 hours of nonstop ring game activity across at stakes low and high across a variety of games including no-limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha, Sviten Special, super dealer's choice and more. The casino is expanding its poker area during the festival to include at least 18 tables, meaning there will be something for every type of cash game player.
Also, the Cash Game Festival will host its entertaining televised feature tables twice per day at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel. Since PokerNews will be on hand to report on all the events on and away from the tables, the stream will also be embedded in our coverage.
During the Cash Game Festival at London in September, the festival organizers introduced a feature table contest whereby the player that won the most big blinds during any of the 10 feature tables was awarded a commemorative trophy along with a hospitality package for two to the next event. NordicBet player Jon Kyte hoisted the first trophy after winning 4,265 on a 2/5 no-limit hold'em feature table, which represented 853 big blinds.
Not to be outdone, during the next Cash Game Festival in Dublin in October, Ireland's Kevin Malone won 1,735 or 867.5 big blinds on a 1/2 pot-limit Omaha feature table to set a new contest record.
Both Kyte and Malone will be heading to Tallinn to see if they can win for the second time. The duo have been friendly jabbing on Facebook about who will perform better under the lights and camera.
The Cash Game Festival is always looking to try something new and for the first time, one of the feature tables will be a ladies only affair during the upcoming festival in Tallinn.
While the amazing poker action is certainly the highlight of the festival, many players attend solely for the social aspects the festival provides. Those that have been to the festivals before look forward to seeing many of the players they have enjoyed playing with and attending activities away from the poker tables. Many players keep in touch in between festivals and refer to themselves as part of the Cash Game Festival family.
To help the social environment even more, the Cash Game Festival is well-known for the many activities it plans throughout the festival away from the felt to those with the hospitality package. While the activities right now are a closely guarded secret, based off prior festivals there will be welcome drinks, a sporting activity, a guided tour, a world-class dinner and a memorable VIP party.
Head to the Cash Game Festival Tallinn registration page if you are interested in attending the final Cash Game Festival of the year or to register to the televised feature table.
Additionally, you can check out the many satellites and other promotions still running at Betsson, NordicBet and betsafe (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania only) for the upcoming festival.
