NBC Sports and Poker Central Announce Extended and Expanded Partnership
NBC Sports Group and Poker Central announced an expansion for 2018 and overall extension to their media agreement inked last year until 2020, NBC Sports Group announced.
The partnership expansion for 2018 includes new linear and digital content for the 2018 Super High Roller Bowl, the US Poker Open, and the Poker Masters tournaments. Last year, NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) provided coverage for the 2017 Super High Roller Bowl and the 2017 Poker Masters.
NBC Sports Group: "We are further broadening our poker content by adding more tournaments to our slate."
NBCSN will provide streaming platforms will provide content via NBCSports.com and its NBC Sports App for all three events where poker fans can view on desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and connected televisions. Poker Central Chief Digital Officer JR McCabe is thrilled about the partnership.
"We are pleased to continue growing our partnership with NBCSN to bring our expansive slate of poker programming to both new and existing audiences alike," said McCabe. "This year, poker fans will have even more ways to watch some of the world��s biggest poker tournaments."
NBC Sports Group Vice President of Programming Gary Quinn is also looking forward to building on the success from 2017.
"After the success of last year��s Super High Roller Bowl, we are further broadening our poker content by adding more tournaments to our slate," said Quinn. "Our viewers enjoy the extremely competitive nature of Poker Central��s tournaments, and we��re looking forward to delivering more high-stakes action in 2018."
The expanded partnership will begin to take fruition this week when some of the biggest names in poker battle it out in the inaugural US Poker Open on Feb. 1-9 at the ARIA Resort & Casino. Event buy-ins range from $10,000 to $50,000.
