Australia's Daniel Laidlaw snagged his eighth Aussie Millions cash and his first victory after winning Event #25: A$5,000 Pot Limit Omaha for A$128,285 ($101,559).

The event attracted 103 entrants representing a massive 58 percent increase from the 65 entrants in last year's event won by Norway's Espen Solaas for A$100,815.

The final table featured many World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet winners and others that have previously found big success in live poker tournaments.

Australia's Michael Seymour was the first player to bow out from the final table in 10th place for A$12,100 for his sixth Aussie Millions cash. Next to go was American WSOP gold bracelet winner Michael Moore in ninth place for A$16,945.

South Korea's Hyung Kim recorded his biggest live tournament cash after he was eliminated in eighth place for A$21,785.

British WSOP gold bracelet winner Richard Ashby, who previously won Aussie Millions Event #7: A$2,500 8 Game Mixed Event for A$52,720, added to his more than $2.4 million in live tournament wins with a seventh-place finish worth A$26,625.

A pair of big-time Canadians were the next to go with Patrick Serda adding to his more than $1 million in live cashes with a sixth-place finish for A$31,465 and WSOP gold bracelet winner Sam Greenwood, inching closer to $7.5 million in live cashes with a fifth-place finish for A$36,305.

Australia's Stanley Wu racked up his biggest live tournament cash after finishing in fourth place for A$45,990.

Ukranian poker superstar Yevgeniy Timoshenko, who has $7.7 million in live tournament cashes to go along with $4.6 million in online tournament cashes hit the rail in third place for A$58,090.

This left a pair of Aussies in Julian Powell and Laidlaw battling it out heads-up for the title. Laidlow eliminated his opponent to claim the title and the ANTON ring while Powell walked away with a healthy runner-up prize of A$87,140 for his efforts.
