Michael Tchong Bests Mustapha Kanit to Win Aussie Millions Event #22
Australia's Michael Tchong outlasted a field of 105 entrants including a final table filled with big names to win the 2018 Aussie Millions Event #22: A$5,000 No Limit Holdem Six Max for A$138,180 ($110,162).
The victory was Tchong's eighth Aussie Millions cash and pushed him past the $300,000-mark in career live tournament winnings.

Australia's Rory Young was the first player eliminated at the final table in sixth place for A$27,145. Young now has over $500,000 in live tournament cashes according to The Hendon Mob to go along with nearly $1.6 million in online cashes according to PocketFives.
Fellow Aussie Edward Hatzkortzian secured his second Aussie Millions cash this festival with a fifth-place finish for A$33,310. This left players from four different countries representing the final four.
American Tanner Millen notched his biggest live tournament cash after he hit the rail in fourth place for A$45,650. He now has more than $200,000 in live tournament earnings.
Tchong was left facing off against two players with very impressive resumes. Canada's Patrick Serda, who in 2016 allowed William Kassouf to buy himself a trophy in the EPT Prague High Roller, added to his $1 million in live cashes after bowing out in third place for A$61,670.
Serda, who also is known for playing cash games, also has amassed nearly $1.3 million in online tournament cashes including a win in the PokerStars WCOOP High Roller last year.

This left Tchong facing off against Italy's most successful poker player, Mustapha Kanit, heads-up for the title. Kanit has amassed $10.1 million in live tournament cashes to go along with $4.7 million in online tournament cashes. The Italian also found gold in two Aussie Millions events in 2014. However, Kanit was unable to hit the trifecta and bowed out in second place for A$93,770, while Tchong claimed the title and the coveted ANTON gold ring.
