US Online Sunday Briefing: "P_aire_146" Wins WSOP.com Coast to Coast

The inaugural Coast to Coast Classic at WSOP.com Nevada and WSOP.com New Jersey concluded its 32-event schedule that featured more than $1 million in guaranteed prizes on Sunday.

The highlight of the festival was the Coast to Coast #30 - $200,001 Coast to Coast Main Event on May 20. The tournament was the record-largest U.S. regulated prize pool guarantee.

New Jersey's Pierre "P_aire_146" Deissler outlasted a field of 526 entrants (363 entries + 163 re-entries) after nearly 11 1/2 hours of play to win the event for a whopping $61,411.

The win more than doubled the tournament cashes Deissler previously had at WSOP.com and he is now approaching $200,000 in cashes on U.S. regulated online poker networks alone.

Outside of this festival, there were many other tournaments hosted in New Jersey with big guarantees as well at the partypoker, 888poker and PokerStars networks.

After failing to meet its guarantee last week, the WSOP.com/888poker $15,000 Sunday Kick-off more than surpassed it this week with the 165 entrants, along with 160 rebuys generating a $19,338 prize pool. A total of 30 players cashed in the event for a minimum of $176.

New Jersey's Jason LuckDuck" Lawhun finished on top of the field to win the $5,221 top prize. Lawhun is now approaching $700,000 in cashes on U.S. regulated sites alone according to PocketFives.com, where he is currently ranked in 14th place in the Garden State and in 779th place worldwide.

Other players to appear at the final table included Geno "acesfull32" Raman (third - $1,740), Anthony "Adversity45" Pagan (fifth - $1,160), and Bobby "bcmclawh" McLawhorn (seventh - $735).
