Global Poker Player Spotlight: GP Players Represent in Las Vegas
Many online players like to take shots in live events around this time of year, and Global Pokers players across the country are no exception. Several Global Poker regulars decided to visit Las Vegas recently to hop into some events both in the prestigious World Series of Poker and in other series in town, while others stayed away from the sweltering Vegas heat to fire GP events from the comfort of their homes.
From Global Poker to Vegas Success
Kevin "BUYMEDINNER" Pahl was Vegas-bound armed with a $5,000 travel and buy-in package that he won for shipping the Rattlesnake Open Leaderboard. The pressure was on for Pahl, but he followed right in the footsteps of his two leaderboard-winner predecessors who both cashed in the live events they played with their prize packages.
Pahl played WSOP Event #55: $1,000 No Limit Holdem Tag Team with a couple of his friends and they put together a deep run to finish 45th of 1,032 teams, taking home $3,495.
Another Global Poker player, Sara Sabjo182 Palmer (pictured in lead image), went out to Vegas and played in her first WSOP event, the $1,000 Ladies Championship. She ran very deep in the field of 696 players, narrowly bubbling the unofficial final table. Palmer finished in 11th place to earn herself $6,799.
Outside of the Rio, Louis "beijinghouse" Helm represented Global Poker at the Golden Nugget downtown Las Vegas as he took down a nightly $110 event in their Grand Poker Series for $1,875.

He played in the SC$50,000 guaranteed event and turned his freeroll into a runner-up finish worth a whopping SC$7,750.
For your shot at freerolls and other prizes, check out the Global Poker Facebook page for more information on competitions, and you could freeroll yourself into a nice payday just as Martin did.
Another exciting announcement from Global Poker is that, in addition to the recently-added payment options of depositing and withdrawing using Mastercard and Visa, the site now also accepts American Express and Discover Card for Gold Coin purchases.
