Qualify for the $100K Sunday Scrimmage Special at Global Poker
The Sunday Scrimmage Special at Global Poker is just over a week away, where the prize pool of the Sunday Major will double to SC$100,000 guaranteed for the same SC$218 buy-in. Now is the time to get qualifying.
Satellites are running at Global Poker, with Round 1 qualifiers starting at just SC$3.30. There��s also a direct satellite for SC$22 Friday at 9:20 ET that guarantees one seat.
On Sunday, Aug. 26 at 6:20 p.m. ET, a Scrimmage Special Mega Satellite is guaranteeing 15 seats into the $100K special event Sept. 2. Players can enter the turbo satellite for just SC$33 with a chance to grab a SC$218 entry.
In the meantime, players can get in on Global Poker��s regularly scheduled tournaments, including the SC$55 buy-in SC$4,000 guaranteed Saturday Swish at 5:30 p.m. ET Aug. 25. On Aug. 26, the SC$20,000 guaranteed Sunday Teaser kicks off at 3 p.m. ET for a SC$110 buy-in, and the regular SC$50,000 guaranteed Sunday Scrimmage starts at 5:30 p.m. ET.
Big Winners Last Week
Last week's Sunday Teaser drew 198 entrants and 36 players banked at least SC$150. "KOJacks" from Massachusetts shipped the tournament for SC$4,080. New York's "viztyskie" took second place for SC$3,000 and, after finishing second the previous week for SC$3,000, Minnesota's "AceFromSpace" took third place for SC$2,260.
The $50,000 guaranteed Sunday Scrimmage got 238 runners last week with 36 players finishing in the money for at least SC$375. Those 36 players took advantage of $2,400 in overlay money.
"King Acehole" of New York won the tournament after nearly six hours of play, banking a healthy five-figure score of SC$10,200. "XiouZhang" of Nebraska finished runner-up for SC$7,500, while Maryland's "Supershark" finished in third to collect SC$5,650. Who will win big this weekend?
