Nick Pupillo Leads HPT Black Hawk Final Table; Reginald Roberts Second in Chips
Day 2 of the $1,650 HPT Black Hawk Main Event kicked off before lunch on Sunday with 92 returning players. Eleven hours later, just nine players remain all with their eyes on the $194,478 top prize. Nick Pupillo leads the field after putting 2,970,000 in the bag.
Pupillo boasts an impressive HPT resume with eight cashes while Reginald "Shawn" Roberts, who is second in chips, has far and away the most HPT experience with 21 HPT cashes. Local players Dapo Ajayi, Daniel Wojcik, John Sacha and Jack Peterson will look for a hometown crowd at Monday's final table.
Sacha won this event in 2009 and has three other HPT cashes. However, he's not the only former Golden Gates champ left in the field. Back in November, Mike Itoafa won the 2018 MSPT Denver Poker Open at the venue for $81,735. He will return on Monday with 2,365,000.
