The first flight of the 2019 APPT Manila National is over after it attracted 236 entrants. By the end of the day, just 60 players remained and advanced to Day 2 on Tuesday, July 30th.

Several notable players jumped in the field including EPT Sochi champion Uri Gilboa, APPT Jeju National champion Liang Song, former PokerStars Festival Jeju champion Taehoon Han along with other notables Pete Chen, Aditya Sushant and Rex Clinkscales.

After 13 levels, none of the above players were still in the field, and they will have to make it through Day 1b to join the players advancing to Day 2.

Sitting at the top of the pile is Alex Lee with 327,500. Not far behind him is Hsien Yuan Yang whose kings sent a player to the rail in the penultimate level of the evening to also move over 300,000, eventually bagging 312,500.

Other big stacks advancing include Dai Liuheng (274,500), Jie Pan (272,500), Richard Marquez (225,000) and Sim Kok Wai (201,000). Russia's Elfrida Bambutsa was an early chip leader and she too bagged up at the end of the night with a stack of 145,000.
