Matt Stout Bags Big After Day 1cd Flights in 2019 Borgata Poker Open Opening Event
On Wednesday, the 2019 Borgata Poker Open held two more starting flights in Event #1: $600 Deepstack Kick Off. Day 1c saw 354 runners take to the felt, while 1d had 273 to bring the total field up to 932 entries.
The final two flights on Thursday �C Days 1e and 1f �C are expected to increase that number considerably.
On Day 1c, 46 players survived the night with Yong ��YK�� Kwon and his stack of 606,000 leading the way, while poker pro and Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) founder Matt Stout led the remaining 36 players after Day 1d with a stack of 391,000. They join Kenny Han (593,000) and Sridhar Sangannagari (810,000), who bagged the chip lead on Day 1a and 1b respectively.
Others to bag decent stacks between the pair of flights were Shawn Stroke (584,000), Dennis Brand (399,000), Kevin Garosshen (360,000), Samuel Preis (312,000), Boris Gandman (264,000), and Carlos Guerrero (261,000), Song Choe (348,000), Kenny Hunyh (306,000), Stephen Ma (255,000), David Prociak (226,000) and John McGuinness (181,000).
Of course, not everyone was so lucky. Some players to try and fall on Wednesday were Greg Himmelbrand, DJ MacKinnon, Greg Fishberg, Guo Liang Chen, Lyle Diamond, David Jackson, Patrick Lacey, Nick Palma, Roland Israelashvili, and Ralph Macri.
