PokerNews to Cover the ��500K Gtd 888poker Live London Main Event
Aspers Casino Westfield, Stratford is the venue chosen to host the latest edition of the 888poker LIVE London Festival and PokerNews�� live reporting team is heading there to bring you exclusive coverage of the ��500,000 guaranteed Main Event.
An action-packed schedule of nine tournaments is planned between November 21st and December 2nd that have buy-ins starting at only ��60 and increasing to ��2,200. That latter largest amount is the buy-in for the High Roller event running from November 27-28th. Last year��s tournament saw 75 players enter to create a ��146,520 prize pool that was shared among the top nine finishers. Matas Cimbolas was the last man standing and he collected ��42,505 after a heads-up deal with Tom Hall.
PokerNews is reporting live on the ��1,100 buy-in Main Event, which features five starting flights and a huge ��500,000 guaranteed prize pool. This event last year had a ��400,000 guarantee that was blown out of the water when 656 players created a ��649,440 prize pool.
British player James Williams got his hands on the lion��s share of this juicy pot, namely ��121,000 after defeating Derek Lawless heads-up for the title; the runner-up scooped ��85,000.
