Sunday Briefing: MASSIVE Double Victories for Junglemandan

Imagine how amazing it would feel to win a Sunday major online.

Now think about the emotions you'd experience if you managed to triumph in two of the biggest online poker tournaments.

On the same day.

That's exactly what happened to "Junglemandan" at partypoker as they took down both the partypoker MILLION and The Big Game for a combined $258,450.

Junglemandan's first victory came in the $1 million guaranteed partypoker MILLION which saw a crowd of 4,568 players buy in across multiple flights.

This left an overlay in excess of $80,000.The 664 players who cashed took full advantage of it with all but one of the eight finalists banking a five-figure prize.

"Renan Santos" secured a $9,400 payout for being the first casualty of the final table.

They were joined on the rail first by "notSPARKLINGwt" and then by "NewYorkJimmY" who walked away with $14,610 and $20,780 for their respective finishes.

$30,630 went to "damilsoldi" after they crashed out in fifth before "Tasha" collected $44,600 after falling in fourth-place.

The penultimate elimination was that of "youcanfold" third-place being worth $68,500.

The heads-up saw Junglemandan lock horns with "Edoiler99" with both players guaranteeing a six-figure haul.

Junglemandan scooped the $153,000 top prize, leaving Edoiler99 to collect the $106,800 consolation prize.

Sunday Big Game at partypoker

While on their way to winning the partypoker MILLION, Junglemandan was busy navigating their way to the final table of the $300,000 guaranteed Big Game, a $5,200 buy-in tournament that saw 74 entries create a $370,000 prize pool.

Each of the eight finalists won more than three-times their initial investment.

"BuddyRW" banked $15,725 before "Achtungdiekurve" turned their $5,200 into $17,575.

Sixth-place and $20,350 went to NewYorkJimmY who also finished sixth in the partypoker MILLION.

They were joined on the rail first by "Sundaynightking" and "SovseFlemming" who scooped up $25,900 and $33,300 respectively.

"MoStack" was stacked in third-place, a finish worth $49,950, setting up a heads-up clash between "patience" and Junglemandan.

The latter defeated their opponent to get their hands on the $105,450 top prize. Second-place was worth a cool $72,150.

$109 Sunday Million at PokerStars

Over at PokerStars, the Sunday Million ended in a heads-up chop that saw the final duo walk away with a combined $189,633.

Brazil's Eduardo 'sl0tt' Cavalcante de sa Leitao was the player who emerged victoriously to turn their $215 into $105,096. This meant the runner-up, "kobablack77" netted $84,537.

Earlier at the final table, "GaborMarton" of Malta busted in ninth with Nicolas 'PKaiser' Fierro winning the $11,647 eighth-place prize from his home in Chile.

Seventh-place and $16,049 went the way of "leostar121" and they were joined in the role of spectator by Netherlands-based British star Conor '1_conor_b_1' Beresford who netted $22,116.

Germany's "Janetti111" was the recipient of $30,475 when they crashed and burned in fifth-place, with "RafaCorreaBR" becoming the fourth-place finisher, which was worth $41,994.

"Conglomo222" was the one who made for the exits in third-place, that prize weighed in at $57,867

$1,050 Sunday Warm-Up 8-Max at PokerStars

Luke 'Bit2Easy' Reeves must have thought his chance of Sunday glory was gone when he finished second in the $2,100 Sunday High Roller for $27,920 but he made amends in the $1,050 Sunday Warm-Up 8-Max.

The latter saw 182 players pony up $1,050 and Reeves outlasted them all.

Reeves secured a $36,105 prize when he sent "Darwinfish" to the rail in second-place, resigning the Dutchman to $27,895 consolation prize.

Those players finishing in the top five spots each received more than $12,000.

"Fityfmi" of Norway won $12,865 after falling in fifth-place and "Sphinx87" from Poland padded their bankroll with a $16,651 haul.

Third-place and $21,552 went to "IAmSoSo" of Sweden, before the heads-up duo locked up the lion's share of the prize pool.

Rake or Break Whale - $25,000 Target at 888poker

The Rake or Break Whale once again missed its $25,000 prize pool target meaning all 38 entrants receive the $30 tournament fee back into their accounts.

The compact field meant only five places were paid and "YSoSerious7" of Ukraine was the first recipient of some cash, namely $1,520.

"Guydeet39" from Canada collected a $1,900 prize and was joined on the payout table by the United Kingdom's "hustlejg" whose third-place finish was worth $2,850.

The one-on-one battle was between Preben "prebzzz" Stokkan and 888poker regular "DeuceofDuc0".

Either player would have made a worthy champion but it was DeuceofDuc0 who got their hands on the $7,600 top prize, leaving Stokkan to collect $5,130.

$100,000 Sunday Mega Deep at 888poker

A field of 446 players turned out for the $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep, leaving 888poker with an overlay of around $11,000.

Austria's "CRPU0r" took full advantage of the added money by finishing in first-place and securing a payout of $19,350.

The Austrian defeated Russia's "Villeroi" heads-up to lock up the title.

Villeroi walked away with $14,500 for their troubles. Only "IHaveNoBoss" banked five-figures, they collected $11,000 for their third-place exit.

Before those five-figure score, "ehbarone68" busted in ninth with Russia's "Samarius" and "GoldJuninho" crashing out in eighth and seventh, finishes worth $2,400 and $3,400 respectively.

Argentina's "donvito1960" won the $4,400 sixth-place prize with "ContaSagrada" hauling in the $5,700 fifth-place prize.

Then it was the turn of "Royalltriss" to leave, the Swede banked $8,250.

High Rollers Main Event $500 at Natural8

Russia's "ZamazkaTV" had an enjoyable Sunday session at Natural8 winning the High Rollers Main Event $500 for $19,611 and final tabling the $210 Bounty tournament.

This victory netted them $19,611 after the sent "imjuniar" of Mexico to the sidelines in second-place, which netted them $14,651.

Third-place went to Tim "TEET1ME" Cramer, who has been racking up scores for more than a decade. Cramer won the only other prize of five-figures, namely $10,946.

Before that trio exited, "ProBrock" and "SnowyOwl" were the first players to bust under the limelight, the latter winning $2,547.

Israel's "noamiko$$" and "HalfKid" followed suit before "Beautyrat" got their hands on $6,109 after falling in fifth-place.

Fourth-place and $8,177 went to "Valdes" who calls Malta home.

High Rollers Bounty Warm-Up $210 at Natural8

Rounding off the Sunday Briefing for another week is the High Roller Bounty Warm-Up $210 that saw 368 players contest a $75,000 prize pool.

The bounty element added a twist to proceedings and resulted in the seventh-place finisher, "ZamazkaTV" who won the $500 Main Event collect more than both "idiot10" and "PistonRing" who lost their tournament lives in fifth and sixth-place.

Two Israelians reached the final four places. One, "kisaa" crashed out in fourth for $4,767 with the other, "IKnowNothing" falling in second-place for $6,032. Sandwiched between these exits were that of third-place finisher "When I'm Gone" on the UK who netted $4,169.

This left "1-800-273-8255" to be crowned the tournament's champion, an accolade that came with a $7,190 prize.
