Looking Back At The Previous High Rollers Festival
Some of the prizes paid out during the previous rendition of High Rollers were extraordinary.
Andreas daskalos20 Christoforou triumphed in the $10,000 NLHE 8-Max opening event and padded his bankroll with $244,261!
Three other players in that tournament walked away with six-figure prizes. Runner-up Roo_400 netted $187,534, while Chris Apotheosis92 Kruk and Conor 1_conor_b_1 Beresford won $143,982 and $110,544 respectively.
The biggest prize was, as youd expect, paid out in the $5,200 Main Event. A field of 515-entires created a $2,575,000 prize pool that PokerStars shared among the top 63 finishers.
All but two of the eight-handed final table won more than $100,000. Triple Sunday Million champion Artem veeea Vezhenkov was the player who emerged victoriously, defeating Swedish superstar Simon C.Darwin2 Mattsson heads-up to secure the $457,344 top prize.
A Plethora of High Rollers Satellites
While the 19 events are going to be pack with elite players, us mere mortals have the opportunity to lock horns with them thanks to a plethora of satellites feeding into each tournament.
Satellites last year started at only $1.10 and there were some players who turned their small buy-in into a huge payout.
Estonias NeedBeat won a $55 satellite to the High Rollers 05: $530 NLHE 8-Max PKO and managed to go all the way and bank $164,561. Imagine the bragging rights youd have if you could manage such a feat.
Stay tuned to PokerNews throughout the High Rollers series as we bring you all the news and results from the $6 million guaranteed spectacular.
