Sunday Briefing: Another Super Sunday For ��Junglemandan�� at partypoker

Cast your mind back to last November when the partypoker player going by the name of ��Junglemandan�� won both the Big Game and the MILLION on the same night. This player, who is not Daniel Cates, almost repeated that epic feat, winning the Big Game again but finishing fifth in the MILLION.

Big Game: $500K Gtd at partypoker

Junglemandan was the last man standing in the $500,000 guaranteed Big Game, a $5,200 buy-in tournament that attracted 120 entries this week. Those entrants created a $553,275 prize pool shared among the top 16 finishers.

The champion walked away with $135,552 for their impressive victory after defeating partypoker high stakes regular ��CalmDownMan�� Heads-up; the runner-up netted $96,823.

Earlier at the final table, ��patience�� and the legendary ��Sundaynightking�� busted and banked $17,981 and $22,131 respectively. Team partypoker pro Anatoly ��NL_Profit�� Filatov finished in sixth for $27,663.

��Hex Veldluis�� and ��WatchMeDance�� ran out of luck and fell short of the victory, before ��Incognitgno�� crashed out in third for $69,159, setting up the heads-up battle that Junglemandan won.

partypoker MILLION: $1M Gtd at partypoker

Junglemandan also navigated his way to the final table of the partypoker MILLION, which overlaid by almost $150,000 this week.

��Zorro-Supremo�� busted in eighth and was joined by Big Game finalist ��Hex Veldluis�� in seventh-place.

��MoStack�� collected $21,080 for their sixth-place exit, before Junglemandan��s amazing run ended in a fifth-place finish worth $30,980.

The prize money was growing massive by now so ��xfabragalepo89�� won $45,030 for their fourth-place exit, and ��Aatualizarbr�� scooped $69,000 after their demise in third. This set up a one-on-one battle between ��alexis.onassis�� and ��RentouUutua�� for the title.

Both players were guaranteed a six-figure score, but there was a near $50,000 difference between the finishing places.

Alexis.onassis eventually won all the chips in play and collected a $153,820 reward, leaving RentouUutua to lick their wounds with the assistance of $107,500 cash.

$2,100 Sunday High Roller at PokerStars

Over at PokerStars, the final table of the $2,100 Sunday High Roller read like a who��s who of online poker.

By the time Artur ��ARTSchGamble�� Scerbak, Conor ��1_conor_b_1�� Beresford and Juan ��Malaka$tyle�� Pardo had busted out, there were still five elite grinders still in contention for the title of champion.

��MynJoe�� of Hungary reduced that figure to four when they made their way to the cashier for $13,520. German superstar Ole ��wizowizo�� Schemion fell in fourth for $17,786 with Claas ��Ssick_OnE�� Segebrecht banking $23,396 for their third-place exit.

Brazilian sensation ��edudrake1987�� and Jens ��Fresh_oO_D�� Lakemeier locked horns heads-up and it was the latter who emerged victoriously. The winner padded their PokerStars bankroll with $36,79 with the former collecting $34,384 after a heads-up deal was struck between the two Goliaths.

$1,050 Sunday Warm-Up 8-Max at PokerStars

Another legitimate star in Simon ��C.Darwin2�� Mattsson won the $1,050 Sunday Warm-Up this week, netting $29,806 as a result. Mattsson defeated ��P0KERPRO2.0�� of Germany heads-up to bank the lion��s share of the prize pool, resigning the German to a $23,152 consolation prize.

Earlier at the final table, ��elmerixx�� and ��Black88�� fell by the wayside, making the waters less shark-infested.

William ��bigfox86�� Foxen won $6,547 for his seventh-place finish with $8,429 heading to Jens ��Graftekkel�� Arends�� account when his tournament ended in sixth.

Patrick ��pads1161�� Leonard got his hands on the first fifve-figure score of the evening, $10m851, when he busted in fifth, with Thomas ��WushuTM�� Muehloecker crashing and burning in fourth, a finish worth $13,970.

The penultimate elimination was that of Samuel ���urop�an�� Vousden who secured a $17,984 payday for his third-place exit.

$20,000 Sunday Challenge at 888poker

Finally, to 888poker where 238-entrants competed in the $20,000 Sunday Challenge. ��ahjaa�� outlasted them all to turn $109 into $4,902.

The top six finishers all won a four-figure prize. ��SjefvanBuul�� banked $1,140 for their sixth-place finish with ��_dejmohito_�� collecting $1,368 after busting one place later. ��MurningB4n�� locked up the $1,995 fourth-place prize before ��plush0292�� reeled in $2,679.

ahjaa defeated ��littlejoe44�� of Canada heads-up for the title, resigning the second-place finisher to $3,534.

$20,000 Whale at 888poker

The $20,000 Whale hit its guarantee by $100 when 67 player exchanged $320 for the chance of glory. Only one player can win an MTT and that player was ��xFink_Ploydx�� of Canada. They boosted their bankroll by $6,532.

Like the $20,000 Sunday Challenge, the top six finisher won four-figure prizes.

��Lucky_Frutti�� and ��j_peso4�� were the firs people to collect at least $1,000, namely $1,105 and $1,507. They were joined on the rail by ��carmen.1957�� and ��Steusalz�� who banked $2,010 and $3,015.

��SpitOnGraves�� of the UK couldn��t quite get the job done and had to make do with the $4,221 runner-up prize, leaving xFink_Ploydx to scoop $6,532 and the victory.
