APAT and partypoker Partnership Creates Superb Events
The Amateur Poker Association & Tour (APAT) and partypoker have come together to give amateur poker players from around the world a platform for some excellent tournaments.
APAT has a busting, vibrant community that loves nothing more than meet up and play poker against one another. The COVID-19 virus has put paid to live poker plans for APAT and many other organisations, so APAT is keeping its members spirits high with daily online tournaments at partypoker.
Firstly, theres the APAT Daily Splash. This $5..50 buy-in No-Limit Holdem tournament shuffles up and deals every day at 3:00 p.m. Everyone sits down with $50,000 chips and plays to a six-minute clock where blinds start at 250/500/60a.

Team Up For Poker Squads
APAT is all about its community so its no surprise theyve created a series of tournaments with a team element. APAT Poker Squads see team of up to four players compete in daily tournaments. The best three scores from each week are calculated and additional prizes awarded.
All the APAT Poker Squads events only cost $5.50 to enter, commence at 8:00 p.m. and there are a variety of different formats to get involved in.
- Monday: No-Limit Holdem
- Tuesday: Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo 6-Max
- Wednesday: No-Limit Holdem PKO
- Thursday: Mix-Max
- Friday: No-Limit Holdem 6-Max
- Saturday: Pot-Limit Omaha
- Sunday: No-Limit Holdem Deepstack
In addition to these tournaments, there are also $5.50 buy-in Heads-Up tournaments on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. and a Seven-Card Stud tournament on Thursday. Please note, the Stud tournament is only available on the desktop client and not on partypokers mobile app.
APAT Championship and High Roller
There are also some bigger APAT tournaments at the end of the week. Every Friday at 7:00 p.m., the $16.50 buy-in APAT Championship Friday PLO event kicks off. Here, players start with 100,000 chips and play to eight-minute blinds starting at 250/500.
Holdem players have their APAT Championship at the same time of 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Again, it costs $16.50 to enter, $100,000 is the starting stack and blinds increase every eight-minutes.
The highlight of the week is most definitely the APAT Sunday Roller. Players can choose to buy in directly for $55 and receive 50,000-chips. Alternatively, there are $5.50 Phase 1 tournaments running each day.
These Phase 1s have a 5,000 starting stack and conclude at the end of the 16th six-minute level. Anyone with chips in front of them at this time has their stack uploaded to the Sunday Roller. Its possible to play in more than one Phase 1, but only your largest stack is carried forward if you progress more than once.
