2021 PASCOOP Day 6: '8Ballpoolhustle' Dominates With Win and a Chop

The latest day of PASCOOP action saw a $200 PKO played out.

The 2021 PokerStars Pennsylvania Spring Championship of Online Poker (PASCOOP) kicked off on April 17 and will run through May 3, offering more than $2 million in guaranteed prize pools with buy-ins as low as $5 up to $1,000. The highlight of the series is the two-day $300 buy-in Main Event on May 2 featuring a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Each of the 40 events is comprised of three different tournaments �C a High, Medium, and Low buy-in �C meaning there��s a total of 120 tournaments. Through the first six days of the series, 39 events have run their course, catering to 17,860 combined entrants and awarding $868,929 in prize money in the process. The million-dollar mark is within reach and will be hit any day now.

Light Day of Action on Thursday

Thursday saw one of the lighter days on the 2021 PASCOOP schedule as just one tournament with the usual three tiers of buy-ins was on the schedule. It was a fun one however since it was the progressive knockout (PKO) format has been all the rage in the dot-com scene.

The high tier saw 256 entries for $200 apiece and "8Ballpoolhustle" put in a strong performance with enough bounties to more than double the second-place prize. That player earned $10,817 between bounties and prize money while runner-up "Chaitanyaa" grabbed $4,639.

Outed screen names making the final table included Barrett "AndrewYang2020" Lipkin, Nick "cooooooch" Amicucci and Travis "UnitedWeZag" Herzing.

While shipping the high event for over $10K was a nice score for "8Ballpoolhustle," that wasn't enough as they also managed to be part of a three-way chop in the $50 PKO for $2,464. They came up just shy of another win, losing out heads up to "pokaroka31," with "A Frequent ?" being the other deal-maker.

Finally, the low-tier $20 event went to "luckwonthelpyou" for a total win of $1,998.

Today's action continues with two more events. This first will be a rebuy priced at $50, $15, and $5 with $20K, $10K and $4K guaranteed, respectively. Then, there's a short-handed player's dream: the four-max event with $100, $30 and $10 price points and $15K, $7.5K and $3K as the promised prize pools.
