Final Table Recap

Willem De Troyer was the second-shortest stack at the start of the nine-handed final table, and he three-bet all in with A?Q? on the very first hand only to bust to the 10?10? of Karolis Sereika. He took home $20,684.

Over the next 90 minutes there were no further eliminations. Erik Tamm doubled through Chanracy Khun, before Jorma Nuutinen doubled through Tamm. However, Nuutinen would bust next in eighth place. Just like De Troyer, he lost a flip, with his K?J? failing to win against the 10?10? of Diego Ventura, with Nuutinen walking away with $26,440.

Key Hand Khun Picks Up Aces

In one of the biggest hands of the final table, Khun doubled up to briefly take the chip leader away from Cuellar after slow-playing his aces.

Khun raised to 1,260,000 with A?A? and Cuellar three-bet to 3,480,000 with K?J?. The floop came Q?6?3? with Khun check-calling 2,400,000. The turn was the 2? giving both players a flush draw.

Khun checked again and Cuellar bet the pot for 13 million. Khun had around 11 million behind and called all in for his tournament life. The river 6? secured the Canadian the double up and he moved into the tournament lead.

Miguel Lopes bust in seventh place after running A?J? into the A?K? of Jamie O'Connor before Tamm eventually bust, his 4?4? crushed by the 7?7? of Sereika.

Players Agree to a Deal

Following the elimination of Ventura in fifth place, the remaining four played for around five more minutes before agreeing to look at the numbers. With such level stacks, the payouts were evened out and as chip leader Cuellar walked away as the Powerfest champion.
