It is easy to forget the Super MILLION$ ran this week because GGPoker's tournament schedule is brimming with massive tournaments thanks to the 2021 GGPoker WSOP Online festival. The Super MILLION$ not only ran but attracted 171 of the world's best players, who created a $1,710,000 prize pool.
Day 1 saw the 171 hopefuls whittled to the final table of nine, and, as usually the case, the Super MILLION$ final table is brimming with some of poker's best-known and most talented grinders.

Kahle Burns leads the final nine players back into battle at 6:00 p.m. BST on August 24. Burns has been one of the game's standout players since 2017. The New Zealand-based Australian won $1,823,167 in live events in 2017, another $610,933 in 2018, and $4,364,547 in 2019. He even managed to bank $2,906,320 in a COVID-19 hit 2020. Now he is on course to take down the Super MILLKON$ and this week's $337,599 top prize.

Finland's Eelis Parssinen is better known for his pot-limit Omaha prowess, but his no-limit hold'em game is not too shabby either. This is the first time we have seen Parssinen in a Super MILLION$ event during Season 2, which is also his first final table. The Finn's previous two Super MILLION$ final tables ended in second-place finishes. Ironically, Parssinen sits down at this week's final table second in chips.
Former Battle of Malta Main Event champion Rodrigo Selouan has now played four Season 2 Super MILLION$ events, but this is the first time he has reached the money places. Today marks Selouan's first-ever Super MILLION$ score. Selouan has 2,212,444 chips in his stack, which are good enough for third place at the restart.

Fourth place currently belongs to Indian grinder Neel "Neel" Joshi, who trails third-placed Selouan by a mere 18 chips! Joshi won his $10,300 Super MILLION$ seat via a $525 satellite, so he is already guaranteed an incredible return on his investment. Like Selouan, Joshi has never cashed in a Super MILLION$ before today but will win at least $52,486 whatever happens when the cards are back in the air.
Macau's "oldfishing" has $725,529 in GGPoker winnings, although none of that impressive total stems from Super MILLION$ events. oldfishing has several final table appearances in the $25,000 buy-in Blade tournaments that used to frequent GGPoker, so they certainly know their way around a high-stakes tournament table. They could be a dark horse for this week's title, making their 8.85 (+785) betting odds look decent value.
He may be down in sixth place with a 41.1 big blind stack, but you cannot write off Niklas Astedt's chances. This is Astedt's 12th Super MILLION$ final table appearance, although only two of those deep runs have ended in victory. His triumph on April 11, when the tournament came with a $25,000 buy-in, won Astedt $1,095,741. Astedt has the most in-the-money finishes and final tables in Super MILLION$ history. Can he join the exclusive club of three-time winners?
Dario Sammartino returns to the action in seventh place, but you can bet your bottom dollar the Austria-based Italian is not there just to make up the numbers. Sammartino's stack is worth 31.5 big blinds, so he is not in a desperate position, although Sammartino needs to chip up sooner or later if he wants to improve on his second-place finish he enjoyed on May 2.

One place below Sammartino is another poker great, Mike Watson. The Canadian superstar has never finished higher than third in the Super MILLIONS, but his 15 cashes and six final tables show that Watson is continually knocking on the door. He sits back down with 26.4 big blinds.
Bringing up the rear at this Super MILLION$ final table is Benjamin Rolle, who recently became a member of the Team PokerStars stable. Rolle won this event on January 31 and is hungry for more glory. The man known as "bencb789" has plenty of work ahead of him if he is to achieve his goal because his 966,309 stack is the equivalent of 24.2 big blinds.
