Short stack Dmitry Yurasov busted during the first level of the evening when the blinds were 25,000/50,000/6,000a. Yurasov opened to 100,000 from a 713,298 stack with pocket tens, and Joakim Andersson called from the big blind with ace-eight of hearts. Yurasov flopped a set of tens, but the flop had two hearts also. All the chips went in on the flop, and Andersson turned a straight to win the pot and send Yurasov home in ninth.

Eighth place and $68,171 went to Indias Tarun "AreYouAhead" Goyal who lost all but three big blinds when his ace-king ran into Anderssons pocket aces. Goyal bowed out a couple of hands later when his queen-five lost to the ace-seven of Biao "d7777" Ding.

Addamo Bulldozes His Way To The Top

Samuel Vousdens tournament ended abruptly in seventh place after an ill-timed shove against Addamo. A 140,000 min-raise from Addamo, made with ace-ten in the cutoff, was three-bet all-in for 1,471,383 by Vousden in the big blind with ace-four, and Addamo snap-called. Addamo flopped a ten, which was more than enough to reduce the player count by one.

Two-time Super MILLION$ champion Andersson was the next player out of the door. He ripped it in for 10 big blinds under the gun with king-queen, and Filatov called with ace-jack. Filatov spiked an ace on the flop to end Anderssons latest deep run.

Addamo held more than 12 million chips at this stage with the next highest stack being for 3.3 million. It looked like an Addamo victory was certain, especially when he sent the short-stacked Ding to the rail with seven-two offsuit! Addamo min-raised to 160,000 before calling Dings four big blind shove, which he made with jack-ten offsuit. A seven on the flop and another on the river sent Ding home in fifth.

Christopher Frank crashed out in fourth for $192,817 at the hands of, youve guessed it, Addamo. Frank three-bet all-in with ace-three for 6.6 big blinds after Addamo min-raised with queen-four. A queen on the river sent Frank to the showers and pushed Addamos atck past 15.8 million, over three-times more than both his opponents stacks combined.

GGPoker ambassador Filatov was the penultimate elimination. Addamo open-shoved for 30 big blinds effective from the small blind with king-five, and Filatov finally found a hand good enough to fight back with, ace-jack. Filatov was a firm favorite prefop, but the king of clubs on the flop left him drawing to won of the three remaining aces. None appeared on the turn and river, and the latest Super MILLION$ tournament was now heads-up.

Huge Chip Lead For Addamo

Addamo went into heads-up against Carbo holding an 18,292,308 to 2,507,692 chip lead at the 50,000/100,000/12,500a level. Super MILLIONS victory number five looked like a dead cert, but Carbo had other plans. First, he doubled with king-jack versus Addamos ace-ten before a run of favorable hands saw Carbo claim the chip lead.

Carbo relinquished his advantage again as Addamo bulldozed his way back to the summit, but the lead changed hands numerous times before something finally gave.

At the 100,000/200,000/25,000a level, Carbo min-raised to 400,000 with pocket eights, Addamo three-bet to 1,500,000 with ace-ten of clubs and called when Carbo jammed all-in. An eight on the flop and another on the river gifted Carbo a 19,537,406 stack to Addamos 1,262,594.

It was all over a couple of hands later when Carbo set Addamo all-in with eight-four of clubs, and Addamo called with jack-eight of hearts. Carbo flopped a flush draw, and turned a four to send Addamo to the rail in second place for $324,278, locking up the $420,536 top prize for himself.
