Daniil "danludan" Lukin Crushes at GGPoker

Occasionally, a poker player logs into their online poker account, readies themselves for the Sunday grind, and blows away the opposition. Daniil "danludan" Lukin, the popular GGPoker Streamer, was that player on September 19, winning two high stakes tournaments at GGPoker and finishing as runner-up in another. This is Lukin's incredible Sunday story.

Lukin Triumphs in the Super MILLION$ Week $2,100 Bounty Turbo

The first of Lukin's brace of victories came in the Super MILLION$ Week #35: $2,100 Sunday Heater High Roller Bounty Turbo, an event that attracted 177 players and that boasted of a $354,000 prize pool.

Each of the nine finalists locked in a five-figure score with bounties included. Brazilian sensation Bruno Volkmann was the first out of the door; he collected $12,077. "Lee0r," the legendary Timothy Adams, and "moso1231" joined Volkmann in the role of spectator.

Estonia's Juanki "Little Pepe" Vecino ran out of steam in fifth for $22,231 before David "KGB Plus eV" Shenin fell by the wayside in fourth for a $25,976 addition to his bankroll.

Heads-up was set when Jeppe Sorensen dusted off his stack in third, a finish worth $23,310. Sorensen's exit left Lukin heads-up against Tyler "TheRayGuy" Cornell. Both had huge bounties on their heads, and it was Lukin who got his hands on the larger prize after defeating his Canadian opponent. Cornell walked away with $45,508, $20,171 of which was bounties. Lukin scooped the $63,419 top prize, which had a bounty payment of $38,046.

Lukin Shines in the Sunday Warm-Up

Victory number two came in the $525 High Rollers Sunday Wrap-Up. A field of 119 entrants created a $59,500 prize pool, and Lukin got his hands on the lion's share of that sum, namely $13,780.

Any $525 buy-in tournament is tough, but this one was especially so thanks to a wealth of talent that made it deep.

Ramiro Petrone's time at the final table was short-lived because he crashed and burned in ninth. Such luminaries as Vincent "Moist" Huang, Malcolm "HappyWhale" Trayner, and Vincent "PANDA_DRAGON" Lam followed Petrone to the rail.

Carlos Villamarin was the last player not to enjoy a five-figure haul. Villamarin bowed out in third, a finish good for $7,851.

Lukin locked horns with Victor "Q6d6" Pertile of Brazil and he got the job done, brushing aside his final opponent to secure a $13,780 payout. Pertile received a $10,401 consolation prize.

Lukin Misses Out on a Remarkable Hat Trick

Lukin narrowly missed out on three outright victories when his superb run in the $1,050 High Rollers Sunday Cooldown ended in a second-place finish. However, Lukin did strike a deal when heads-up, one that banked him more than he would have reeled in had he received the original second-place prize.

Again, the final table was a star-studded affair, with the likes of Sebastian Sikorski, Chris Klodnicki, and Malcolm "HappyWhale" Trayner, who finished sixth when Lukin won the $525 Sunday Wrap-Up.

Ami Barer saw his tournament end abruptly in third for $9,957, leaving Lukin to strike a deal with "datouge66" of Hong Kong. He fell at the final hurdle and walked into the night with another $14,647 in his bankroll, while datouge66 scoped a $15,075 top prize.
