Landon Tice

Landon Tice posted an Ask Me Anything on Twitter over the weekend, and the poker community responded in kind.

Fedor Holz, Allen Kessler, and David "Viffer" Peat all made appearances in the AMA thread, with some of the questions thrown at Tice a bit more cutting than others.

The 22-year-old Tice emerged as one of the most active and visible young players in the game over the past two years. Tice took down an MSPT title last November, and came up one spot short of his first World Series of Poker bracelet in Julys $1,000 NLH North American Open during the 2021 WSOP Online Bracelet series.

Tice also engaged in a highly-publicized heads-up challenge against Bill Perkins earlier this year. Tice and his backers ended the match early due to Perkins playing at an unexpectedly high level.

After opting out of the challenge, Tice drew criticism from some in the poker sphere, but he hasnt shied away from responding to those critics in the aftermath. The Solve for Why coach generated plenty of discussion when he gave his 16,000 Twitter followers the green light to ask him anything on Saturday:

Havent done an ask me anything in awhile so go ahead and ask away, Tice tweeted.

Holz, Kessler Responses Highlight Tices AMA Thread

Fedor Holz is still just 28 years old, but already owns a career resume worthy of the Poker Hall of Fame. Anyone who follows Tice knows that the Las Vegas-based pro wants to achieve a level of success that puts him in the same category as players like Holz.

Holz appeared in the AMA thread with a general check-in on what Tice is up to:

Hows your life like right now? What do you have planned for the future? Holz asked on Sunday.

I'm still in love with poker so spending a lot of time on it with friends and really enjoying it, Tice responded. I'm not too sure about the future yet, but mostly just going to keep the trend going of doing things that I find enjoyable and hopefully at one point be able to give back.

Later in the thread, Holz asks Tice about the number of hands and win rate hes achieved at various stakes. Tice responds that hell send a DM to Holz with that information, so the poker public stays in the dark about Tices total poker profits for now.

Twitter user Tommy Stokkeland asked Tice to name his favorite pro to compete against. Tice cites Jason Koon as the answer, contending that Koon is responsible for Tices passion toward the game:

Hes the one that got me to really care about poker its not really a fair fight, Tice wrote about Koon.

That response generates a bit of chagrin from poker pros like Ben Lamb and Scott Seiver, though Lamb later admits that he hasnt yet played against Tice.

Allen Kessler
Allen Kessler asked Landon Tice if he still overrates his own poker ability.

Allen Chainsaw Kessler isn't quite as friendly as some of other poker pros that weighed in on Tices AMA thread. Kessler gets right to the point with his query for Tice:

Do you still overrate your skills and abilities, or have you humbled? asks Kessler.

Still overrated! responds Tice. Perhaps predictably, Kesslers question prompts at least one fellow poker pro, David Viffer Peat, to turn that question right back on Kessler:

I know my abilities and my limitations, responds Kessler.

Im glad I dont know mine, replies Tice, who later in the thread refers to Kessler as the goat.
