More Than $1.1M Awaits Super MILLON$ Main Event Champion

December 14 sees nine GGPoker players sit down at the final table of the Super MILLION$ Main Event knowing they are only eight eliminations away from becoming a millionaire. Some 693 players bought in for $10,300 across several flights, creating a $6,930,000 prize pool as a result. $4,519,498 of that pot is still to be won, with the eventual champion seeing $1,125,181 hit their accounts.

Jeff "DollarVig" Berwick is the player in pole position going into this massive final table. Regular readers of our recaps know the final table chip leader tends to be there or thereabouts when the biggest prizes are awarded. Berwick has $646,650 in winnings at GGPoker, with $105,155 stemming from Super MILLION$ events. he is already guaranteed his largest GGPoker score because all nine finalists have locked up $148,909. Will Berwick be a millionaire by this time tomorrow? His 18,340,704 chips (114.6 big blinds) suggest he may be.
If Berwick is to become this tournament's champion, he has a lot of work to do because there are some fantastic players in the chasing pack. Daniel Dvoress is one of those stars, the Canadian has almost $9.4 million in winnings at GGPoker, including a Super MILLION$ victory worth $394,853 plus a WSOP bracelet and $1,489,289 that he scoped in the $1,500 Millionaire Maker event in 2020.
Russia's Artur Martirosian needs fifth-place or better to break through the $19 million in GGPoker earnings barrier, which is nothing short of incredible. Martirosian has won this event twice, most recently on August 29. That came with a $325,957 payout. This is Martirosian's seventh final table of Season 2, and he sits down at it armed with 11,117,424 chips, or 69.5 big blinds.

Martirosian's fellow Russian and member of the Team GG stable, Anatoly Filatov returns to the Super MILLION$ action with 7,619,375 (47.6 big blinds), which are enough chips to place him fourth. Filatov is a two-time Super MILLION$ champion, most recently in September 2021 when the tournament was part of the WSOP Circuit festival. Filatov took down the event that day for a coveted WSOP Circuit ring and a massive $1,193,333.
China's "Jerome001" could be one to watch at the final table because they have been in superb form during the Super MILLION$ Week, winning a brace of titles for a combined $128,691. Jerome001's only previous Super MILLION$ cash came three weeks ago, and ended in a fourth-place finish worth $135,589. They sit down behind a 5,704,256 (35.7 big blind) stack, placing them fifth at the restart.

One player going into this final table under no pressure is Hungary's "progery81." Why? Because they are already guaranteed their largest-ever score at GGPoker regardless of where they finish. The Hungarian has $36,388 in winnings at te site, with $11,285 their largest haul, although they did win a $12,500 Road to Vegas package. They are now guaranteed at least $148,909, and their 5,334,012 (33.3 big blinds) gives them a decent shot at a half-million plus score.
Malta-based Swede Joakim Andersson is looking for what would be his third Super MILLION$ title and his second seven-figure score from this high roller event. Anderson won this event in April 2021 when it was part of the GG Spring Festival. He won a cool $1,573,605 that day, which is one of the reason Anderson has $4,480,215 in Super MILLION$ earnings, the most of any player. He returns with an arsenal of 4,157,663 chips, or 26 big blinds.
The final table's two shortest stacks are both extremely well-known players. WSOP Hybrid Main Event winner Damian Salas hopes to go one better than his runner-up finish on Valentine's Day. The Argentinian will need some help from the Poker Gods because he has a 3,143,056 stack, the equivalent of 19.6 big blinds.
Bert Stevens, aka "girafganger7", is the man bringing up the rear. The Mexico-based Belgian is yet another former Super MILLION$ champion, winning this event in late September 2020 for $393,262. Stevens has a short stack of 2,169,895 chips, 13.6 big blinds, so will be looking to make a move sooner rather than later when play resumes.
