Le Grande & Palm Beach Casino Tanzania Gears Up For 2022 Dar Poker Masters

The inaugural Dar Poker Masters was a roaring success with 120 players buying into the Main Event and the champion walking away with the 100 million Tanzanian Shillings (approx. $43,000) first place prize. The 2022 edition of the Dar Poker Masters is building on that initial success by extending to a week-long schedule featuring five events with buy-ins to suit all players.
Le Grande & Palm Beach Casino is hosting the 2022 Dar Poker Masters after doing such a fantastic job last year. The casino is located in the city of Dar-es-Salaam in Tanzania, one of the fastest developing cities in East Africa, one with a bustling population of six million residents.
Five tournaments adorn the week-long schedule. The 2022 Dar Poker Masters kicks off with a No-Limit Hold'em Warm-Up event that costs the equivalent of $40 to enter. The shallow stacks, quick blinds, and the rebuy format means this is an exciting way to kick off the series on August 22.
High Rollers are catered for with a $1,050 buy-in event that runs from August 24-25. Players in the High Roller sit down with a generous stack of 200 big blinds and play to a 40-minute clock.
The Dar Poker Masters Main Event is the tournament everyone wants to win. It commands a $210 buy-in and should pay its champion upwards of $40,000 plus a commemorative bracelet that the organizers tell PokerNews is worth $16,000.
Rounding out the 2022 Dar Poker Masters are a $110 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo Freezeout and a $20 buy-in Pot-Limit Omaha rebuy and add-on event.

Thinking of heading to Tanzania for this incredible series? Turkish Airlines operate frequent direct flights from Istanbul International Airport. Once on Tanzanian soil, it is recommended you use the Bolt taxi app, or pre-book a shuttle bus service from Dar Salaam airport to the casino.
Where to Stay in Tanzania
The Dar Poker Masters management team recommends one of four options to rest your weary head at the end of the tournament grind. First choice should be the Le Grande Casino where the festival takes place. The hotel is located at the JM Mall building and is only a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal to Zanzibar.
Harbour View is a four-star hotel that is also part of the JM Mall tower. Like the Le Grande Casino, there is no need to leave the complex to get stuck into the Dar Poker Masters tournaments or 24/7 cash games.
The Le Grand Casino management also run the Fairview Luxury five-star apartments that are a mere 80 meters away from the JM Mall entrance.
A little further afield, the Park Hyatt Hotel is located approximately 15-minutes' walk or a five-minute taxi ride away from the venue.
