Luxon Pay Announces the Inaugural Mediterranean Poker Party

UKIPT Nottingham kicks off on July 23 with the first of three flights in the 250 UKIPT Mini. These lower buy-in tournaments are a great way to start a festival because they get bums on seats and those who finish deep into the money places then have the bankroll to compete in the other scheduled events.

July 27 is when the first of the big buy-in UKIPT Nottingham tournaments shuffles up and deals. Expect some of the biggest names in British poker and further afield to descend on Dusk Till Dawn for the 5,300 buy-in Super High Roller. If you fancy your chances of playing in this tournament, there is a 550 buy-in satellite feeding into it at 1:00 p.m. on July 27.

There is also a 2,200 buy-in High Roller that is sure to be well-attended, but it is the eagerly anticipated UKIPT Nottingham Main Event that has everyone super excited.

500,000 Guaranteed 2022 UKIPT Nottingham Main Event

The 2022 UKIPT Nottingham Main Event commands a 1,100 buy-in but for that you get to play for a share of a guaranteed 500,000. Every Main Event player sits down with a generous helping of 30,000 chips and plays to a 40-minute clock where the blinds start at 100/100 and a 100 big blind ante.

Late registration remains open until the completion of the tenth level, during which time players are permitted to purchase a maximum of two re-entries. Each Day 1 ends when only 15% of the field remains, with those top 15% advancing to Day 2 safe in the knowledge they have locked up at least a min-cash. The Main Event crowns its champion on July 31.

UKIPT Nottingham has produced some fantastic Main Events in its time. The inaugural Main Event took place in 2010 when the tournament came with a 560 buy-in. Andrew Couldridge outlasted a field of 650 to bank 80,000.

Newcastle's Gareth Walker triumphed in 2011, besting 1,057 opponents on his way to reeling in 97,700, before Robert Baguley got his hands on the largest-ever UKIPT Nottingham Main Event prize, namely 210,400. Baguley came out on top of a 1,625-strong crowd in what was a 770 buy-in event.

Two UKIPT Nottingham Main Events took place in 2013: a six-max and a standard affair. Both cost 1,100 to enter, and Ben Mayhew won the six-handed version for 72,840 while Duncan McLellan won the standard event for 202,372.

McLellan is, therefore, the reigning UKIPT Nottingham champion, a title he has held since 2013. Will it be you who wins the 2022 UKIPT Nottingham Main Event?
