The Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) heads to Cambodia from November 3 through November 10, and the PokerNews Live Reporting team will be on the ground at the NagaWorld Integrated Resor bringing you all of the action from the eagerly anticipated APPT Cambodia Main Event.

APPT Cambodia takes place in the Grand Ballroom of the luxurious NagaWorld Integrated Resort in Phnom Penh. The five-star hotel-casino resort features 1,658 rooms and suites, more than 20 food and beverage outlets, in addition to more than 150 casino table games and north of 2,000 slots.

Five APPT Cambodia events jump off the page when you feast your eyes on the schedule. The $300 buy-in $50,000 guaranteed APPT NagaWorld Kickoff is the perfect way to get the festival underway; it runs from November 3-5.

The $800 buy-in $100,000 guaranteed APPT National is hot on the heels of the kickoff event, running from November 6-8, which is followed up by the $10,000 buy-in APPT Cambodia Super High Roller on November 9-10.

An APPT High Roller, costing $5,000, takes place November 12-13. Sandwiched between the Super High Roller and High Roller is the APPT Cambodia Main Event, and that is the tournament the PokerNews team is bringing you live updates from.

Running from November 10-13, the APPT Cambodia Main Event commands a $1,500 buy-in, with PokerStars guaranteeing no less than $400,000 will be won by those finishing in the money places.

This marks the first time the APPT has dropped anchor in Cambodia so there is no previous champion. However, the World Poker Tour has run two similarly sized buy-in Main Events in recent years, and both have been incredibly well supported.

In November 2019, American Brian Tougias came out on top of a 750-strong field in a $1,100 buy-in event and banked $131,430. In August 2022, David Erquiaga of the Philippines topped a 1,050 field in a $1,100 buy-in affair and scooped $137,008. Eriquiaga chopped with Chi Jen Chu ($120,980) and Junnie Pamlona ($106,482). It would not be surprising to see similar payouts in the 2022 APPT Cambodia Main Event.

Stay tuned to PokerNews Live Reporting pages throughout the APPT Cambodia Main Event, and discover who becomes the tour's first champion in Cambodia.
