There are only six players left who can still dream about winning the $4.1 million first place prize in the WPT World Championship.

Day 5 lasted throughout the night and into breakfast time Monday morning. For more than three hours, the tournament was stuck on nine players. But at around 6:15 a.m. PT, finally, the final table was set.

Two of those who hoped to reach that final day but ran into some bad luck on Sunday are Brad Owen and Daniel Negreanu. The popular poker pros each lost a bad beat to bust from the $10,400 buy in tournament. Owen, the World Poker Tour ambassador, took 35th place for $99,600, while "DNegs", who lost to a four-outer, finished in 17th place for $176,200.

At the end of the marathon session, which lasted more than 18 hours, the player who started the day with the chip lead Benny Glaser left with the chip lead.

With 27,800,000 in chips and the blinds at 800,000/1,600,000, Lucas Foster, the player who busted Negreanu much earlier in the day (technically, the day before), moved all in with 9?9?.

Eliot Hudon, who had about twice the stack and was seated in the big blind, made the call with A?Q?, and off to what essentially equated to a six-figure race they went. The board ran out A?10?4?2?3?, giving Hudon the pot, and at long last putting a stop to the marathon session.

Foster received $704,000 for seventh place, but he fell one spot shy of the guaranteed $1,001,050 payday for sixth place. The winner, to be determined on Tuesday, will take home $4,136,000 in one of the largest poker tournaments in history.

Hudon, who benefited greatly from winning that race, finished the session with 80,800,000, or about 51 big blinds. But he is still well behind Glaser, who is sitting on 133,600,000 (83 big blinds). Glaser has been consistently dominant and running hot throughout most of the tournament. For a short period on Sunday, he lost his chip lead to Foster, but would gain it back and finish the session right where he began play.

The four other players at the final table Adam Adler (27,200,000), Frank Funaro (21,100,000), Jean-Claude Moussa (19,000,000), and Colton Blomberg (14,000,000) all have well under 20 big blinds. That means they'll mostly be in shove or fold mode early at the final table, putting them in a tough spot because the risk of going bust will be so high with such massive pay jumps on the horizon.

No one yet knows who will take home the WPT World Championship title, but it will be someone who isn't already a member of the WPT Champions Club.
