WSOPE 2023: Bigger Guarantees and High Stakes Action at King's Resort
Table Of Contents
The 2023 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) is less than a fortnight away with the festival set to run at King's Resort from October 25 through November 15. Fifteen gold WSOP bracelets are waiting to find new homes, while 15 million in combined guaranteed prize pools serve to only sweeten the pot.
The 2022 WSOPE was a roaring success, but King's is not the kind of venue that rests on its laurels; the management team is always trying to push the envelope. Three of the most popular events on the bustling schedule have seen their guarantees amplified from the 2022 edition, making them an even more attractive proposition.
The Opener, which kicks off the 2023 WSOPE, runs from October 25-30 and costs an affordable 350. Last year's Opener featured a 500,000 guarantee, but that guarantee has been doubled to 1 million for the 2023 edition.
Likewise, the Mini Main Event, which runs October 29 through November 4, still costs the same 1,350 to enter, but this time around players will be vying for a slice of a guaranteed 2 million, double the 2022 Mini Main Event's guarantee.
Then there is the Colossus, a 550 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em affair running from November 1-6. Despite the low buy-in, King's Resort has increased the guarantee from 1 million to an impressive 1.5 million!

November 4-5 sees a 10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller take place; it guarantees 300,000 in its prize pool.
Then there is a Super High Roller running from November 7-8, which commands a 100,000 buy-in. While there is no guarantee on the 100,000 NLH Super High Roller, the prize pool should easily eclipse seven figures.
