WPT Second Half Schedule Released; Stops All Across the Globe
The World Poker Tour (WPT) has truly become a world poker tour. With the release of the Season XXII second half schedule, that statement has been proven true even more so.
Two days after Casey Sandretto finished off his tittle run in the WPT Rolling Thunder Championship, the iconic poker tour revealed the much anticipated remaining events to run in the fall, and they include tournaments all around the world, in four separate continents.
Before the second half of the schedule kicks off, there's still some business to take care of this spring, starting with the WPT Korea, which began on Thursday. Next up will be the WPT Voyage, a cruise full of poker players partying and playing cards for a week. The following stop, WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown April 18, takes place in Hollywood, Florida. And then one more Main Tour stop before the summer WPT Choctaw begins May 3 in Southern Oklahoma.
What's on the Second Half WPT Season XXII Schedule?
The second half of the World Poker Tour schedule will include visits to North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, and eight different cities. At the end of the schedule, which you can view below, the tour will host a third straight WPT World Championship in December at Wynn Las Vegas. Dates for that series aren't yet out, nor is the guarantee for the $10,400 championship event, which last year featured the first ever $40 million guaranteed prize pool in poker history.
For now, there are eight second half series planned, and the action begins June 20-24 with the HKD 40,000 WPT Macau in one of the top poker destinations in the world. Two months later August 15 the WPT Prime tour is heading to Taiwan for a TWD 33,000 main event.
