Day 2 of the $3,500 Wynn Millions Championship has wrapped up inside the Wynn, Las Vegas after another ten levels played out on the hosts' iconic blue felt. On a high, after the second stage was completed, was Martin Zamani, who bagged the chip lead as 45 players advanced to Day 3. There's still plenty of poker left to play as the showstopper of the series wraps up on Wednesday, March 13.
The tournament drew 1,180 entries, from which 327 players qualified for Day 2. The total prize pool was $3,746,500, and the winner is slated to take home $596,067.
Zamani is followed closely in second by K.C. Carlston and Chris Frank in third, while Pedro Ingles and Jeremy Felicetti round out the top five.

Day 2 Highlights
Players who qualified for Day 2 and fell short of Day 3 included the likes of Maria Ho, Andrew Moreno, Shannon Shorr, and Ryan Leng. Moreno and Ho were out on the same hand in Level 14 when David Dowdy put them both at risk with Big Slick. Ho had ace-queen and Moreno had queens, but an ace on the flop sealed the double knockout for Dowdy. Dowdy ran strong all day and he will return on Day 3 with 1,295,000.
Shorr was one of two players knocked out on the stone bubble with pocket eights when Seth Fischer busted him with a rivered pair of queens. Leng was eliminated by David Yue later in the evening while he shared a table with the surging Zamani.
Zamani was in control throughout the day, hitting the two-million and three-million milestones well before anyone else. He was joined by early risers Carlston, Frank and Nick Pupillo. Pupillo, who is the reigning GPI Mid-Major Player of the Year, fell short of Day 3 during the final hands of the night when his pocket aces ran into a set of jacks, while Frank is returning with 2,415,000. Also returning is 2015 WSOP Main Event champion Joe McKeehen.
The chip leader from the opening three flights, Mitchell Halverson, started strong but eventually fell back to the field and even closer to the felt near the end of the night. Day 1a chip leader Fikret Kovac and Day 1c leader Artem Kobylynskyi also failed to make it to Day 3.
The 45 remaining players are all guaranteed at least $13,539, but of course, all eyes are on the $596,067 up top. The six-figure payouts come from sixth place onwards.

Day 3 will start at 12 p.m. local time on Monday in Level 21, with blinds at 15,000/25,000/25,000. The plan is to play five 90-minute levels on Day 3.
