Sunday Storm 13th Anniversary

The 13th anniversary edition of the PokerStars Sunday Storm ended with a Brazilian champion, runner-up, and fourth-place finisher. Some 46,679 players, including re-entries, bought in for $11 and fought tooth and nail to capture a slice of the $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Day 1 concluded on April 14 with only 1,997 of the 46,679 starters still in contention for the title. When Day 2 shuffled up and dealt, each player had locked in $14.39 plus the progressive bounties they had collected, but the prize money soon increased, and each of the nine finalists secured at least $2,233 from the regular prize pool.
