Amid Downswing, Rampage Backs Out of Hustler Casino Live Million Dollar Game
Poker fans who were looking to sweat Ethan "Rampage" Yau during the upcoming $1 million buy-in game on Huster Casino Live unfortunately won't be able to as the popular poker vlogger announced he was "backing out of this game."
"Sad to not be able to play but hopeful to be in a better position next year," Yau wrote on X on Monday about the HCL game taking place May 28-31. "Looking forward to seeing all the action unfold end of May! Will 100% be tuned in."
Rampage Out
The highly anticipated seven-figure game in Los Angeles is set to feature an all-star ensemble that includes Nikhil "Nik Airball" Arcot, Santhosh Suvarna, and other HCL regulars such as Charles Yu, Handz, Brandon Steven and recent Life Outside Poker w/ Connor Richards guest Tony G.
It follows last year's game that made HCL the first U.S. live stream to air a seven-figure minimum buy-in game. Yau headlined the game, which ended up producing the largest pot in live-stream poker history.
Yau's announcement that he was backing out of the game was certainly bad news for his hundreds of thousands of subscribers looking forward to watching, and possibly having a stake of, the award-winning vlogger in one of poker's biggest games.
On April 28, Yau uploaded a video titled "I Need $1,000,000..." where he asked his YouTube channel members to buy a piece of his action on StakeKings.
HCL wrote on X on May 5 that the full lineups for each day "will be announced very soon."
