Ninja Slowrolls Boxer Ryan Garcia with the Nuts on Hustler Casino Live
It takes guts to slowroll one of the best boxers in the world, but that's exactly what Twitch streamer "Ninja" did during Saturday's wild and crazy Hustler Casino Live.
The poker world hasn't been exclusively locked in to the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) this weekend, not with the game taking place on stream at Hustler Casino in Los Angeles.
Celebs such as social media influencer Dan Bilzerian, NBA great Jimmy Butler, soccer star Neymar, and HCL fan favorite Alan Keating are all battling in what could go down as one of the best Hustler Casino Live shows ever. At the time of publishing, more than 22,000 were tuned in on YouTube watching the first two hours of the session. And a big part of why this show has become must-see TV is due to hands like you're about to witness.
Garcia Coolered By Ninja
Right off the bat when the cameras began rolling at just after 5 p.m. PT, the action picked up. Bilzerian, a former GGPoker ambassador with millions of social media followers, played a quick all in pot against his longtime friend, Keating. But the most entertaining hand through the first couple of hours was played between Garcia and Ninja.
The hand began with Bilzerian raising from under the gun to $300 with J?9?. Jon Vlogs called from the cutoff with A?2?, as did boxer Chris Eubank Jr. on the button with K?9?. Ninja, in the small blind holding 7?5? came along for the ride, and so did Garcia, sitting on 6?4? in the big blind.
When the flop came out 6?8?4?, it created quite the action. Ninja checked the nuts, and then Garcia made a pot-sized bet of $1,500 with two pair. Eubank, Vlogs, and Bilzerian had nothing, so they all folded. But Ninja check-raised the minimum to $3,000.
Garcia, two months removed from pulling off a huge upset in the boxing ring, was feeling confident in his hand and put his opponent all in for $12,075 more.
Ninja, however, didn't snap-call with the nuts. He went into a brief tank, and Hustler Casino Live commentator Christian Soto was quite amused at the decision.
"This money might go all in. Here we go, snap. He's slowrolling him? He's slowrolling him! Garcia's dancing" an entertained Soto announced while Garcia stood up and danced anticipating winning a big pot. "Oh my god, he's slowrolling him."
After about a minute in the tank, Ninja announced "I call," followed by Garcia asking, "what do you have?" The dealer then asked the players if they wanted to run the turn and river once or twice, to which Ninja replied, "once, because I have the f*****g nuts."
There would be no karma for Ninja on the Q? turn or A? river, meaning the Fortnite legend would scoop the $31,650 pot. But Garcia has shaken that hand off nicely and was up more than $60,000 at the time of publishing, the most in the game.
