No More Hold’em in Texas? PGT Texas PLO Roundup to Feature $1,000,000 GTD Main Event
No-limit Texas hold’em may be the most popular poker game in the world, but from November 16-25, it might be hard to come by at Houston’s Champions Club Texas. That’s because they’re partnering with PokerGO for the PokerGO Tour (PGT) Texas PLO Roundup.
Pot-limit Omaha (PLO) will be the exclusive game played in the nine-event series, which features buy-ins ranging from $300-$5,300.
The $3,300 buy-in Main Event will run from November 21-25 and features a massive $1,000,00 guaranteed prize pool.
In addition to the prestigious Main Event, players will have the opportunity to compete for valuable PGT leaderboard points in three $5,300 buy-in events. Players finishing in the money of the $3,300 Main Event and three $5,300 PLO High Roller events will be awarded PGT leaderboard points based on finishing position, furthering their chances to qualify for the season-ending PGT Championship $1,000,000 Freeroll.
"The PGT Texas PLO Roundup is set to be one of the most exciting stops of the year, offering fans and players a chance to experience elite pot-limit Omaha action in one of the country’s fastest-growing poker markets,” said Tim Duckworth, Director of Live Events at PokerGO. "With the $1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event and an exceptional lineup of PLO tournaments, the PGT and Champions Club are delivering the pinnacle of PLO action to Texas."
