The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is heading to Rio. No, we are not referring to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino where the WSOP just ended, but the real Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.

The WSOP Circuit heads to the Copacabana Palace Hotel, located steps away from the infamous Copacabana beach, for eight days of exciting poker action from Sept. 25 until Oct. 2.

The WSOP Circuit Brazil includes 12 action-packed events including the R$4,000 ($1,058) Main Event, the R$1,000 ($264) Brazilian Storm with a R$1 million guarantee, the R$16,000 ($4,230) Super High Roller with a R$640,000 guarantee, the R$8,000 ($2,115) High Roller with a R$800,000 guarantee, and the R$1,000 ($264) Monster with a massive R$1 million guarantee.

Obviously, the highlight of the festival is the Main Event featuring a lofty R$4 million guaranteed prize pool. Players can choose whether to play an opening flight online at partypoker or live at the venue.

Online Paths

On Sept. 23, partypoker is hosting an online Day 1, with players starting with 50,000 in chips and blinds increasing every 24 minutes. There are also three live opening flights on Sept. 27-29 where players will enjoy a deep structure with 60-minute blind levels. The casino is also hosting a plethora of R$400 satellites, each guaranteeing 25 seats to the Main Event.

Players bagging chips will compete for three more days on Sept. 30 to Oct. 2 until a winner is crowned.

If you are looking to get in cheap, there are plenty of satellites and feeder tournaments running around the clock at partypoker. As a bonus, for those of you using the satellite path to earn PP Live Dollars or who already have some of that virtual money banked, are in for a special treat. The first 100 players to buy into the Main Event via this path will be given $500 in cash for free towards expenses.

Don't let time pass you buy. Sign-up to partypoker for your chance to play in the WSOP Circuit Brazil today.
