The spots on the leaderboard are based on the rank of the flush. So if you get a Royal Flush earlier, you can decide to end your grind as you won't be able to do better. Tiebreakers are determined based on how early in the day the qualifying hand was hit.
Although your hand needs to use both of its hole cards to qualify, it doesn't need to win or even go to showdown. So if you feel you are beat or want to try to get value out of your hand, feel free to play it as normal.

The monthly leaderboard works differently than the daily leaderboard as it utilizes a point system with each eligible flush worth a point. An eleven-times multiplier is applied for the $0.20 ante games towards the Low leaderboard while a three-times multiplier is applied for the $2 ante games towards the High leaderboard.
