Kevin MacPhee is a professional American poker player from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He is best known fro winning the Season 6 European Poker Tour Main Event in Berlin for �1 million. He has another nine EPT cashes on his record including the eighth place finish at the EPT Sanremo Main Event in 2011. MacPhee also has ten World Series of Poker money finishes as well as two WPT cashes.
Intro
MacPhee was born in 1980. He started playing poker in 2003 in home games with his friends, and it took him five years to finally make a name for himself in the world of poker. He cashed in his first live event back in 2006, but it wasn't until 2008 that MacPhee had finally made his big breakthrough when he cashed in two WSOP and two EPT events as well as in one APPT event in Macau.
Background
Before he started playing poker, Kevin MacPhee, like many others of the kind, was a keen ��Magic: the Gathering�� player. He picked up poker in 2003 along with millions of other people worldwide fascinated by Chris Moneymaker's WSOP win. Although he's been playing poker ever since, MacPhee only got noticed in April 2008 when he broke the PokerStars Tournament Leader Board record.
World Series of Poker
MacPhee's first World Series of Poker money finish came in 2008 when he first final tabled the $1,500 Short-handed No-Limit Hold'em event and then finished in 140th place in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event. MacPhee's best WSOP result came in 2010 when he scored a fifth place finish in the $2,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em/Omaha event taking home more than $60,000 in cash.

World Poker Tour
MacPhee has two World Poker Tour cashes to his name so far. His first one came at the 2009 WPT Venice when he finished 39th in the �4,000 No-Limit Hold'em event for �7,600. Then two years later, in March, 2011 MacPhee placed 13th at the $9,500 WPT Shooting Star Championship collecting $29,500 in prize money.
European Poker Tour
MacPhee entered the European Poker Tour circuit in 2008 cashing in two events, the Barcelona Open and the Polish Open in Warsaw taking home a total of �22,000 in cash. However, his biggest EPT win came two years later. In March, 2010 MacPhee outplayed the field of 945 players to top the EPT Berlin �5,000 Main Event collecting his first European Poker Tour title along with the �1,000,000 cash prize.
